Well said Greg, we talk about hunts as class A, and class B. Class A is when you are having fun right now, Class B is when you really had to push each other through to get to the next ridge or next valley or whatever and you look back a week later and go "that was a heck of a push, that was amazing". Having a partner you can trust is key in some of the terrain we face as mountain hunters.
I had the same hunting partner for 27 years in Alaska. We started with summer backpacking where we could experience how we matched in terms of physical and mental toughness and core beliefs. Another major consideration is can a potential partner keep secret spots secret...

Team based approaches work so much better, great video and discussion. I really got exposed to it when scuba diving, where having a team mentality and team goals changes the approach completely. What you're saying really resonates!
