Hi Tina. Boy, I really perked up when I saw the RS Prussia title! Congratulations! It's highly unusual to find an RS Germany pot at a thrift store. I was hoping that you would go down another aisle, and the cups/saucers would magically appear. It was a great price. It is a chocolate pot and they are almost always a decal vs. handpainted. However, the quality is excellent. ( BTW, RS Prussia and RS Germany are the same factory at different times in history but they are completely different in type and in value. So, collectors specifically call them either Rs Prussia or RS Germany, vs. the names being interchangeable.) Sorry, you didn't ask for a thesis, but as an almost 30 year collector of RSP, I thought that I would share the information.

@@GeminiThrifts Yes, RS Germany is @ 1920-1945 (so between WWI and WWII), and RS Prussia is @ 1895 to 1915. RSG usually has lower prices so RSG chocolate pots are @ $50 to $75 without cups on ebay. They sell lower where I live but generally everything sells higher on ebay because there is a larger consumer base. Good luck with it!

I have found hand sanitizer helps in removing sticky residue and goodwill labels.

You may already know this, with the sticky price tags. Use a hair dryer to heat up the label and slowly pull back as you heat it up. The label should peal off easily and there should be little to no sticky residue. For the residue the tape leaves, I use alcohol or nail polish remover. Just be careful not to damage the finish or paint.

I soak taped together dishes. Leave them in hot water and dish detergent until the tape “floats” off. I rarely have to work getting adhesive off - it stays with the tape. Try it. Thanks for your videos!

Take a dry marker and mark over permanent marking and it will take the permanent marking off. Love you video

Un-do adhesive remover will remove that sticky tape from dishes. Get it from Amazon

I accumulate stacks of taped plates or bowls and set them aside and clean them all together. I get a bucket and fill it with really hot water and a small amount of blue Dawn dish detergent. Stick the entire stack in the water (i used gloves) and let it soak until water cools. Most of the time the tape slides off, then I spray goo gone to remove any residue and then wash them with blue dawn. It drives me nuts to remove tape which is why I set them aside for a focused effort rather than do it daily or weekly.

Love the chocolate pot and that deco looking tureen. I had the stupid virus and it lingers on and on, I sound the same with the sinus backing up and the frog in the throat. Had it in December for 2 weeks and started feeling normal and got another form of it in the sinus. Just glad to not be super tired anymore. Enjoying your thrift hauls a lot since I'm not venturing out just yet. Sticking to my guns and doing the death pile listing to keep busy on E-Bay. CAN NOT WAIT FOR SPRING!!!!!!

Use Avon's Skin So Soft. Apply it to the piece and wait a little while and you can rub it off.

Wow great finds at that stop! Yeeees the tape is killer, I started using my blow dryer to remove tape and stickers. We have a Red/white/blue thrift here in Escondido (San Diego area), but they named themselves Valley Thrift Shop....they price up and CASH ONLY!! UGH! Do they have 1/2 on everthing, but this color tag? And the majority of the tags are the exception? Untaping...I just soak item(s) in hot soapy water...takes the price tag off as well.
