It's funny in a way, you're the 2nd channel I'm subbed to talking about being overwhelmed with work/life balance...the other one being Trixie Mattel. Make of that what you will. Anyway, in her case, she's taking a 3 (plus) month break from KZbin/social media/performing to do a sort of reset and get back to enjoying her work and making room for her life in the process. If that (or something like it) is something you feel the need to do, girl, DO IT. Do whatever it is you need to do to bring harmony to your work/life balance. We will all still be here relishing the gorgeous views of Scotland you provide, even if they're more sporadic than before. Don't over extend yourself because "OMG MUST CREATE CONTENT TO SATISFY THE ALGORITHM." Satisy the Sarah.

Satisfy the Sarah! 😆 heehee Yea it’s pretty common especially for creative people and those with jobs besides KZbin. And the need to explain is a way to relieve some pressure. But I don’t need a designated time, I just want to set expectations that I’m around, just busy, but when I can I will share! I wish THAT was the norm online

Sarah, as you’ve probably heard the US is a total dumpster fire right now and I wasn’t even awake for 30 minutes this morning and already overwhelmed, annoyed, sweary- all the things. 🤪 I went straight to your channel to get away from it for a while. THANK YOU! Do whatever you need to do to keep yourself happy, healthy and sane over there. ☺️❤

I think this is one of my very favorite videos of all… so beautiful and full of heart 💜 I get the overwhelm, though, I do. And from the comments it seems like many of your followers do, too. So no worries, Sarah - you do you and share when mood and opportunity allow. Your wonderful work is worth the wait. And we’ll always wait for you 😉 (I drive from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles for my dentist 🦷 So I feel you 😊)

Sarah, just so glad for you that Scotland is your home. Here in Canada our medical system is also struggling but we have no dental coverage unless qualified for support. It's not uncommon to wait five to seven years for a GP in some areas. Your garden is so alive and your efforts reflect. Appreciate you taking the time to share. Hi Sarah! I always enjoy seeing you so happy and hearing what you’ve been up to. Sometimes our inner creative side even needs an adjustment. Life balance is THE MOST important thing, so please take care of yourself. You’re such an inspiration to me and the pages of my sketchbooks are filling up. Even when I don’t see or hear from you, I open my sketchbooks and there you are! Sometimes I try to paint some of your paintings from some of your sketchbooks (like painting from the Masters) concept. “The Golden Larches Trees is one of my favs so I gave it a try. I love this video! I have been here in PA for 20 years. This was the first place I have experienced the different colors of Cauliflower. We have had the purple, orange, green and of course white. When I lived in Denver I think the only Whole Foods was in Boulder. My Mother In Law used to go to Brighton for all of her farm vegetables to Can and Bake with. I can see how you are overwhelmed. I am retired. Sometimes there is so much going on with life we just have to take a time out. Our cats are our children. When they are kittens, to at about four years old, they keep us on our toes. You know that. We don't have children either. Do enjoy your Summer. Time goes so fast.

I love soups too and it's winter here so the rest of my family would agree right now. Years ago, when I had a tv, I landed in the middle of an interesting British program about nutrition. They were using army recruits as guinea pigs because of the harsh training they were doing. Half the subjects were fed a full roast dinner with all the meat and veg and the other half had their roast dinner put through a blender and presented to them as a soup. It was discovered that the soup stayed in their system for longer even with all the runs and training. So the ones on soup stayed full for longer. The ones that had the roast dinners were hungry after their exercise. Since then I've been a big fan of soups, especially whenever we've been on a tight budget.

Hi Sarah, this was a really lovely video packed ful of things l love. Especially your visit to Strathpeffer. The station cafe is indeed lovely since its makeover. My cousin (who lives opposite) and l went in on their open day. She volunteers in the museum and also helps in the station garden. My family go back many years in the Strath. I remember some years back you visited Kilmartin, and that was where my dad and his siblings were born. Im sure we will bump into each other some day......Balance in ones life is so important. Spreading yourself thin is never a good thing, mentally and physically. I understand how much goes into making these vlogs, and how you respond to all the comments shows how much you care. Just do what you have energy for we will be here when you are ready. Sorry to ramble a bit😁 take care and enjoy the rest of the Summer......Alioban ❤🐈🐈

I've never had the purple cauliflower and I'm so happy it retains its colour after cooking. I once planted a stack of multi coloured heritage carrots. They were all kinds of colours: red, green, purple, but sadly after cooking......all turn orange. And the taste? Just like the nantes carrots we plant but way less prolific. And so ends the sad tale of my coloured vegetable planting 🤣

I love soup. It is a comfort food. My Mom would have quart container in the freezer that she would throw left over veggies in, it didn’t matter if it were just veg broth , a cup or a Tablespoon, and it did not matter what kind of veg it was….it all went into the container. When the container was full, it was soup making time! Some times it was vegetarian or depending on the leftover meat …. We called it mystery stew!!!! It was always good with a loaf of toasted buttered bread, biscuits or cornbread. I carry on the tradition!

Thanks for sharing the reality of your life. I truly believe that life these days is overwhelming for most of us. I’m at a time in my life where I thought each day would be reasonably relaxing. In actual fact, this is certainly not true! Even so, if I can just sit outside and knit for even 20 minutes at the end of the day, I find it really helps a lot. Fortunately, I sleep really well and I’m sure that this helps also. Take care Sarah 😘

Starting last year I started prioritising sleep for the first time. Now I move everything in my schedule to allow 8-10 hours. It feels life changing. I never thought I’d be someone who could sleep more than 5 hours. I have some bad nights when I can’t sleep (cats) or get stuck into projects and sleep less but mostly I do! I appreciate your videos, especially the drone videos of the countryside. You can't be all things to all people all the time. You will burn out and won't be able to do anything. My unasked for advice is pace yourself making what is necessary and most important the priority. The rest can wait without apology or explanation. You have posted years of free content. If all the demands of keeping fifteen things in the air feel overwhelming, do what you need to do to alleviate that situation. I think most of us understand. Enjoy the rest of the summer . Take all the time you need to do what is appropriate for you. =^..^=

In my head my voice is often a mixture of southern and western. Not sure why. But it's been that way since I was young. I say y'all and my husband laughs

NHS dentistry has been nearly destroyed by changing the contracts so dentists make a loos on their NHS work. It's actually worse in England than Scotland

Hi, Sarah! I've said a lot before about self-care and family first, and as others are saying those things too, in the comments here, I'll just stick with hugs for you both! 🤗🫂🤗🫂🤗🫂🤗🫂🤗🫂 I've never heard of purple cauliflower, either, so I had to Google it! It's a shame I can't eat cauliflower (and certain other veggies) cos it says that this has a lot of goodies in it! I'm glad you have your garden, and the demands it makes to keep it healthy and alive, as it's one of the top de-stresser / relaxants known to health specialists! And cuddling your cats is another. It is truly a joy to see Floki and Akira so happy with each other, too! Visiting family - Sooo happy for you!!! What will happen to the cats while you're away? And then with that visit over, having your friend to come to Scotland ... it's reassuring for us to know these things are happening for you both. That converted station complex looks somewhere I could happily spend a lot of time sketching!! Did you have time to do any on this visit? It's bedtime here! Sleep well, Sarah! 🤗 😊
