We know CH is isolobal with BH2. But this hasn't been applied here. Why so? Can you explain when to apply which rule??

B atomic number 5 where as c 6....so for equalise

it is absolutely correct Boron hydrogen bond contributes two electrons. Carbon hydrogen bond contributes 3 electrons. (That is in carboranes). So 2CH= 2*3=6 3BH=3*2=6

Sir can't we just replace the carbon by a BH unit..then the cluster type will be arachno..I may be wrong but sir I think there's something wrong with the calculation

If CH3 gr is not a part of skeleton framework then why it is considered in calculating the TVE? Please explain

Here I'm talking about how much electron it will donate to skeletal framework, that's why I didn't took 5 electrons for CH unit. CH donates 3 electrons to framework and BH donates 2 Thats why 2CH=3BH

See.. According to wade rules each CH unit contributes 3 electrons to the structure and each BH unit contributes 2 electrons. So, 3BH=2CH units. 3×2=2×3 electrons.

But in wade rule they said one carbon is equal to BH, you followed this in your wade rules, why not in this example

Sir if SEP = NO of vertices... In this qstn if IAM solving no. Of SEP I get 13 but as u said according to vertices it is 12 .. Can u plz explain it sir

Jolly Balel, When we talk about electrons contributed by a unit in skeletal system, then, one BH unit contributes 2 electrons whereas one CH unit contributes 3 electrons. This we can say 2CH=3BH as eventually we get 6 electrons in both cases.

As far as I knw there is a formula to predict skeleton pair..... bt still unable to solve questions related to skeletal pair for transition metal complexes....kindly upload more videos related to this topic.... Sir,Here you r coverting Me group to Isolobal group. So only vertices will be from C2 and B10 in the formula.. Me group are not forming the vertices. I think in that you sir

Here I'm talking about number of electron donated in the polyhedral skeletal framework of carborane. In case of Carborane only we have to use this method, When I said CH=5 that was number of valence electrons in it. Both the things are different. 👍

It's not about the number of valence electrons, it's about the number of electrons contributed in the structure, BH contributes 2 electrons and CH contributes 3 electrons So it's 2×3=3×2 electrons
