You know how I'm always telling you guys that you can find free stuff on the side of the road? Well today is the day that we are going to see if that is true. It's Operation CleanUp time in my town and this is the time when everybody is putting their "trash" on the curb. So...I figured what better time than now to go on a little, One man's trash is another man's treasure scavenger hunt. I called our friend Stacy and she is coming with us to see what we can find...if anything. Fingers crossed we come home with some amazing finds. Get in the car...Let's go!

@jefftackett282 - OMG...now I really have to make it over. Stacy just came by my office to give me the cutest antique phone to set on that table. Can't wait to get started on it...but it is going to have to be put on hold until after I get this darn backyard made over.

Absolutely... I pick up shit ... outdoor chairs, 4 ladder chairs ( I distressed and sold) my crafting table, a nusery rocker ... and more, much more. Love reusing stuff!! Always on the look out!! Love this video. ❤❤❤

@Rhondas_Flippin_Life - No shame in my game either...I have no problem picking stuff up from the side of the road. It's half the reason why I have driven a truck for most of my life :)

@upstatechillin - I know! I hope I can do that phone desk justice...especially since Stacy just bought me a super cute antique phone for it :) I did make a top for the coffee table base...it looks amazing. You'll see it soon :)

Brilliant idea, love it. We’ve been watching a british tv series. called Money For Nothing. Presenters go to recycle centre and get things that people are throwing away, take them, restore or reinvent then sell and give the sale money to the person who was throwing it away. Fabulous. xxx

@user-cathysbd1 - There are tons of people that totally make a living finding free/cheap stuff, fixing it up and selling it for a profit. I tried it once...it wasn't as lucrative as I would have hoped so now I just find stuff and fix it up for me :)

We don’t leave stuff out in UK as such, we take stuff to the tip and no one’s allowed to go look and grab stuff (that’s meant). Loved the garden chairs, gorgeous. xxx

Sheri you’ve got this!! Phone table will be a stunner and the credenza???!!! I love to garbage pick too. I wanted a church pew for my foyer but they always were too much $$. I found an end piece of a built in breakfast nook. Ripped it off. It has holes in the side where it was attached but wood filler will do that. Then a paint job. You have me fired up to do that and I have another piece too. Thanks!!!

Uh I havent got to watch you in for ever ! You two ladies are just the best love your creativity my mum always said one man trash is another mans treasure my family have always been thrifters I love upcycling and I'm making sure both my kids are into it too there is just something so much more satisfying with finding treasures that someone else has thrown away instead of buying brand new all the time

@nzrcks - So great to have you back! You are so right...there is something satisfying with finding treasures that someone else has thrown away. I got my son, Davis into it too. When he moved out with his friends, he had all of the looking around for free stuff on the side of the road. They got a coffee table and some other free stuff that helped to furnish their house. It was pretty great!

Sacramento one free street clean up your choice od date and 25 dollars if you want another cleanup for 25 each clean up once a week if you want but only once a year free. Choose your day ect

@jefftackett282 - That's pretty interesting. I kind of like the idea of being able to pay to get rid of your stuff whenever you want. I was just on the side of my house and had totally forgotten to get rid of some stuff I had been storing there...now I have to wait till next Operation Clean-up to get rid of it. It would be nice to pay for another pick up and just get rid of it now.

@jillpotts7473 - Thanks for checking in. Everything is great. I took this week off work and have been busting ass in my backyard. 8am to 8pm for the last 5 days in a row…I’m so tired. You’ll see all of the progress this Wednesday! It’s kind of exciting!! :)
