camera lens has a lot to do with it. everyone who walks into my tiny house is surprised by the functional size and that it doesnt feel suffocating. what really helps is not encroaching too much from the walls with anyhting over hip height. In my house you step down into the kitchen and bathroom at each end of the house so in the middle its almost a dance floor. my dimensions are 32' x 8' feet
@cheekyb713 жыл бұрын
It's also 3m wide, which is wider than road legal for a tiny house in NZ - it would be classed as "a load on a trailer" by authorities here and likely wouldn't be allowed to be moved, especially since he also mentioned it is also over the weight limit of 3500kg. There's a growing movement of people especially here in New Zealand that are building to exceed dimensions to get around building codes and permits, and not necessarily following the spirit of the tiny house movement itself. As someone in NZ who has lived in a THOW for several years now it is really fascinating watching the movement change, and not necessarily for the better

Love this floor plan, especially the "back" door accessing the bath and laundry works as a great substitute for a mudroom plus clever storage for the "woodpile" right outside the sliders under the deck. My overall favorite from this build is the roof design.
@robinjones19552 жыл бұрын
I'm trying to figure out the reason for the complex roofline?... yiu can see how the peak shifts from front to vack during the overhead shots at the beginning... but right aftef he shajes their hands you can see the whole front of the house view. .. it looks like tge right side is higher (the office side)... and the left side (the bed side) is lower.. you only need one slope on a roof to driain water.. why the 2 to 3 slopes?.. its very beautiful on the inside of the roof (the ceiling).. with the lighting, etc. I was just trying to figure out the reasoning behind it... that roof must have been very complex for the builder..

To me what struck me the most was the relationship of the couple. There is something utterly beautiful and graceful about them. This of course, transmits into the living space as well. Overall, you can feel the positive and peacefull energy, yet very simple and "ordinary". It seems they really have a respect and understanding for each other. Something that is very rare these days, where you are mostly met with pretentiousness and shalowness.

Bryce and Rasa, thank you so much for choosing and filming this home!! The setting gorgeous, and the outside so welcoming, but the big thing for me was the BOOKS!! Over the past several years of loving this channel and the work that you both do to best reveal the locations and tiny houses. Yet, I've often wondered if people might not need books because they find activities and other interests more fun, or might be hiding their books, or if downsizing meant choosing to live with only a reading device. They were quite imaginative in where and how to create the spaces. Having a backdoor, the one side of the hall dedicated to storage, and everything so well-organized upstairs adds to the comfort one can feel with their home. I could imagine living in the one and being able to have a couple companion animals. Thanks again!! 💜🥰🧡👍

I love how practical this house is. The office space is an elegantly functional simple design that invites peaceful vibes for working. The bedroom having the space to walk around the bed is what I would want too. I love the bathroom shower, and composting toilet too. The fold down screen being right in front of the doors allows both outdoor viewing of nature as well as a cinema for when you want it. Is water an issue that they would want the roof to catch the rain? And is solar an option at some point? Of course if we have a bicycle that powers a battery, that could be the ideal, taking turns running the cranks. Thanks team Bryce and Rasa.

Such a lovely couple and tiny house! Great episode, Bryce! As always. Their relationship truly fits into the scenery of the their tiny home. It was so calming watching them and I feel happy on the inside, knowing there are such wonderful people in the world. Thanks a lot Bryce for sharing all these wonderful stories

Gorgeous home! I really like the joined lofts and that there is standing room up there (depending on height anyway!) I too have watched many resin and pencil creation videos but I have never seen anything as creative as this toilet :) Thankyou to this lovely couple for sharing their home with us all, I hope you have many happy times here in the future.

Fabulous livable design makes this house seem so spacious inside! Loved the roomy office area and really workable kitchen. And of course the inviting deck nestled in the woods. Kudos to this lovely couple; may they enjoy much happiness there.
