Hello thanks very much for your comment. Yes it was a lovely church certainly didnt expect to see such a large building as that. The original church was a lot smaller but there was a service on so we couldnt go in. We will have to revisit on another trip. Thanks for watching. Brian and Tracy.

I just found you guys love your videos. That beautiful artwork I believe is an image of Mary Magdalene she's usually discerned by her red shawl. Mary Magdalene it is said that after the fiasco with the cusifixion went to France to spread the faith. She is very revered like Joan of arc and St Therese.

Thank you. It is a Cornish pixie from Harry Potter, as seen in one of the earlier videos. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. Antiques and vintage pieces work well with imagination, history and magic...oh so well! Tracy!❤💜😺

I can't believe that's the same statue that you purchased when we were there, didn't realise there was blue under all that dirt. Beautiful.

Thank you Rowena. Amazing what lurks beneath the grime sometimes, but even I was surprised this time. ❤

It is Saint Joseph with baby Jezus ! Look him up on Google pictures and you'll see him with his branch of Lilies.

Even if St Antoine of Padua was born in Portugal, Padua (Padova) is in Italy, not Portugal. St Antoine was a Franciscan, he his always figured with the brown religious habit of a Friar Minor, not with a blue mantel. I thus doubt this statue represents St Antoine. This statue is holding the palm of the martyrs, not a lily which is the symbol of St Antoine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_of_Padua
