Enough of the real estate promotional videos. Almost as bad as an infomercial!

Thank you so much for your comment. We aren’t making you watch, and most people are interested in our visits to properties, so contrary to your "advice" we will keep bringing interesting local properties to our channel, and give our opinion on how they could be renovated, as most people see that we are sharing our knowledge rather than thinking we are promoting real estate.

I agree Ana. I would bring the arch back. I would say it costs somewhere about €670,000. It has a ton of potential. I have a visionary eye for buildings like that. My house was a shell and people asked why would I buy this house and as always I would say I don’t see what you see. I see it finished with beautiful flooring, different divisions, better and bigger windows. They say I just see a dump. When I finished my house people couldn’t believe it was the same house. One person actually asked me if I had torn down the old house to build this one. It just seemed so much bigger when I finished it. Everyone that sees my home really loves it. The same with my home in Florida. I should have been an architect and interior designer. I think I missed my calling. LOL.

Edd and Anna, I LOVE when you show other properties that are on the market in France! I keep joking with my kids, that we're going to buy a place based on the ones Edd has shown us and THEY can all live there but they will need to do the reno! I mean, sons a plumber and one son in law is a carpenter so, why not 😂😂

I'm guessing it's around the 150-200k euro mark. Difficult to see how the house might flow without a floorplan, but from the vid - incorporating the stable block and the living area is certainly beyond my imagination. Interested to see if you go for it and what you might come up with.

If you open the archway.. you could put in a balcony outside with an entrance to the upstairs of the barn making a caretakers apartment there. So when the internet goes down you would have carrier pigeons!

I think it would be an exciting AND expensive reno-but would look gorgeous when finished. I think of all the beautiful barn conversions in the UK and can see that same kind of transformation in that place. Agree with others, pay price for the land because the cost of the reno is going to be 300+ euros.

It has huge potential I think depending on the land size and access in and out and if there is a natural water source $1.5 million aussy dollars and then the Reno budget is skies the limit. It would be home/ business. Being a potter, I would use the stables as a making studio and another space for the kilns, close to home for overnight kiln supervision, and out door space for pit firings. Probably a space for a gallery and packing area. I'd make my own floor tiles for the home kitchen. Fun to dream ......thanks Ann and Ed.

For barns in France they range from €8k to €80K and land around €255 per sqm. The area though is expensive and wouldn't be surprised if it went for €350k. It would be a nice project and i would open that arch up and have like an artist studio space in the hay loft.

With all the walls of stone, cement block and brick, it would be some work to have all the rooms communicate with each other and to add a few windows, but the structure looks solid. I would hope that planning permission would be given easily to do major renovations.

If you could convince Phil to leave Bailleuil this could be a new start for him. If not is a great property for a family as well. Even I can feel the potential how much acreage one could have with a place like this or the previous one you showed us. It's not a chateau it could be a lovely manor home if done right. Just have to have a 3rd of the vision you have Edd :) I say they should sell for 15- 20k no more because of the sheer amount of work will need to be done to set it back up will need at least half million at least.

Bonjour Anna and Edd, ok I have no vision for this property at all, I think bringing in an architect would be a good start for me anyway. The back barn I would remove, it's not original to the structure and a really nice outdoor eating and kitchen would look good there, maybe a pool as well. Anyway, keep us posted if it sells and if it isn't you. I enjoyed the walk through; it is exciting looking at things from the past. Love from N.Y.

20:12 not a stables surely, Ed - looks like the classic layout of an old dairy barn to me. The cows were milked whilst they fed from a trough between the partitions, and the gutter beneath their tail end carries away the waste products. But I'd happily agree that this was actually for sea-horses if I could get you to stop calling wooden floor boards bloody "parquet"!!! 🤪😂 Edit: no I think I was mistaken - the hay racks (filled from storage on the floor above) could suggest horses, or cows. I had thought the metal pipe was a vacuum line but not so sure now. 😐
@anthonystevens749Сағат бұрын
Nope, 3rd thought is cattle: those drinkers are for cows, and horse boxes have high walls to stop biting and bullying!
