@16:15 Is a Japan cork, chalk, and mixed media picture/art were made back in the 50's for tourist and servicemen during the Korean war. My Dad had 2 of them, but my sister threw them out without him knowing because SHE didn't like them. Ive been looking for a couple to replace them because my Dad past away back in 2012 and I really liked the pictures as a child. My sis doesn't know anything about artwork or the value of antiques or vintage. No money can replace our memories as a child. Jocelyn, when you finally get around to listing those 2 pics, let me know I will buy them. I really would like to have them. My Dad was a Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. Miss him!

This comes from a place of love, Paul, you need to organize your stuff. So many fantastic pieces, but only about 25% is clearly visible. I would love to get in there and do it for free, just to see his wares 🥰

Whoa! Paul has so much so much so much stuff! I'd make a grid for each floor and work by grid to make sure I got to see all of his stuff. I'd want way more than I would ever need. And there is so much history there too. Boy, if things had memories to share think of all the stories we would hear.

The leather purse was a kit from Tandy leather co. My Dad and I made one together and tooled a horse head on one side and a large rose on the other side. They are what you call "a hobbyist piece". They are blank and you can decorate them as you wish.

The item you pick up in the very beginning (the cat that you thought might be bronze) could be a cat urn. So someone's kitty may be getting a new home (which is good). We bought the same urn in pewter for our kitten that didn't make it back in January of this year. If you look up lasvegaspetcremation under cat urns you will see it. Keep up the great work - love all of your videos. I lived in Harrisburg back in 1998 and miss that entire area.

Hey Joce, I had a leather purse in high school, back in the 1970's, that was just like the one you found. Mine came from a really nice leather store in a mall in Nampa, Idaho. I had a matching leather wrist bracelet too. The only difference between the purse you bought and mine was that the flowers were painted bright colors. I was no hippie tho, I went to a co-ed private Christian high school that wouldn't have allowed love beads or any other hippie trappings. I was a country farm kid, as were most of the other girls in our rural school. We were into the Holly Hobbie, "Prairie Style", which was a style that was popular at the same time as the hippie movement, but was clean, free of drugs, and the rest of the malarky that went along with being a hippie. We all carried purses like the one you found. Thanks for a fun trip down memory lane and see you on Part II.

You don’t always find things to purchase at an antique shop/mall, but you will find a free education there. Limiting one’s buying to thrift stores, consignment, and flea markets really limits the ability to learn. Then, you find yourself buying the same old familiar things, stuck in the same old rut, purchasing the same things others do, and denying oneself an opportunity for more advanced learning and diverse purchases. If you don’t have the “fire in the belly” to know it all, then you will find it difficult to survive in this business. If you are new to this type of collecting/buying, then research is the admission charge. The Majolica cache pot is awesome. Terrier bookends will never lose their appeal and value.
