Honestly, since I’ve had it I use it so much and it’s great for showing the customers exactly what’s going on etc…… Like with this, I told the customer to never hang a picture on that wall as the pipe is there….. she was very impressed

Don’t get me wrong, it’s an expensive tool to have for something that you may use now and again, or to show customers, if you can afford one then treat yourself. If you can’t justify it then you won’t be hindered by not having one.

IR does NOT see through walls. EVER. What you are seeing is the temperature of the pipe because it's close enough to the inside of the wall to transfer temperature. If it were a little further in, you'd see nothing.

Sorry Mark but it ain't really random. Especially on new builds they just shove 10mm plastic up or down through stud walls. To me to you 😆 I do like the thermal camera though, thinking about getting one. How much for that one if u don't mind me asking. Don't want cheap site but don't want to pay stupid money.

Sorry Paul but this is random as it’s a 60year old house, new houses the drops come down usually in the centre line of the rad and split left and right to the valves. This is in 10mm copper, out the valve, diagonally into the wall then bends round the corner into another wall away from the rad, then goes up….. That’s pretty random in my book🤣🤣🤣
