I sent this to my mother who has not spoken to me in months. I have had no desire to contact her either. BUT the related healing of 90 some year old woman who was molested relates to my mother. Thank you for these deep talks that expose things that need to be exposed and then offer the healing solution. I'm grateful be digging through these talks each day.

This talk brought tears to my eyes sinIce I tend to mourn great artists like Van Gogh, Janice, Jimi, Tim Buckley.... In 1970 just after class instructiion with the ole Professor, James K Kyser CSB,---I came back to Duke not knowing what to do,--- since I had been on a track scholarship and was studying Engineering but then I left all that, to be brief>>> I freaked out. Now my wife says I'm bi-polar, which is a tricky like an aggressive attack by that b#####, the devil, himself. Holding thought to the steadfast, grounded, joyous, rich child of Godis what I truly needed! So, that healed me and I returned to school at UMSL after taking a year off "to find myself" I had to carry around note cards with beautiful quotations to hold it together. About mounting up with wings like a dove, or protection by one of those 6 feet long iguanas which can be quite playful if you truly love animals. I used to deliver MEALS ON WHEELS in a rather violent neighborhood of St. Louis. Of course I prayed a lot but I realized that no one would bother me since I was taking care of people's aunts, uncles, great grandmas etc. Well, I went itno the Peace Corps, in the Central African Republic (la Republic Centrafricaine) under that monster: Jean Bedel Bokassa, ...my first publication was callled THE Year of the Child Massacres....TOO MUCH but I know that our Father-Mother --God will take good care of everyting!

Yes, I do read and study Science and Health and the Bible. The study of these two books are essential in my life. But, the lectures are very helpful too at giving an explanation with a different point of view. Thanks again and I have already watched some of your other lectures. Great!

I have heard about Christian Science organisation while in Nigeria, but the adherents were not described as believers in Jesus Christ and were also not an organisation many Nigerians are advised to associate with. However, I am in the UK and somewhere I stumbled on KZbin video teachings by Scientists as they are called. I seem to be impressed with their teachings, though still with a pinch of salt. How can I get to learn more about the theme and believe of Christian Science adherents. If this organisation is teaching really the gospel of Jesus Christ then I want to meet them.

Did she mentioned about seeing a doctor. I am new to CS. I wasnt able to be a member because I had a kidney transplant and I take rejection meds. I called a CS Pratictioner and she refused my help. I felt like I've been misled.

Yea, a Christian Science Practitioner may chose not to treat someone while that person is taking/accepting medical care, that does rule out God's healing. It's more of trust thing, providing a Christian service in proportion as the service is trusted. Practitioners do not treat people who are currently (with that motive) taking medicine, because they say it would not be ethical, or moral. This is has been generally the same precept even amongst the medical faculty over decades,- with only being under the medical care of one doctor. A testimony has it that a man was healed while reading the Christian Science textbook, though he did not have any motive to quite his bad habits. Neither feel bad nor angry, but have fresh imposition! Get the Christian Science Textbook and learn pray and heal for yourself. I'm cheering you on!

She mentioned working with someone dealing with cancer and it seems like this person did go to the doctor at some point. You should give her a call and see what she says.

Hi Jenny, My understanding is that you can't have specific CS treatment, but that doesn't mean you can't get help from a practitioner. It also, doesn't mean you can't have healing. Love can heal anything. There are lots of reports of people who worked with Science and Health and the Bible who were helped, and most practitioners will work with you at some level. You might find a practioner who is also a teacher. Please do contact Ginny and speak to her about this.

Jenny, a good practitioner should work with you to help you understand the nature of God. Healing usually follows your new understanding of your relationship to God as being perfect (in His image and likeness). Treatment is most often refused due to taking meds, as meds are of an opposite mindset... either you rely on physical treatment or metaphysical treatment, but not both at the same time. It's not personal to you. Study Science and Health with an open, accepting and unrestricted mind to obtain the realization you seek. You are already perfect. "BE ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect". The word "BE" is present tense!

Gail Gupton I have contacted many CS practioners. When I told her I had a kidney transplant. They would say...I will pray for you, but I can't work with you. I haven't stop going to Sunday service. It's been 3 and a half years. I felt great, but sometimes, I sure could have someone to talk to me.

shouldn’t it read “in earth…”? Using “on” is from the Catholic faith, common prayer version if not mistaken…

Good question, John. The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 King James Version contains "in earth..." We will look into this. Thank you.
