The OG pixel art! My dad insisted I learn this as a girl child, hated it until video games. Then I had skills already!

Love the ‘handwritten’ text in the dopey horse one, it makes it look like he’s a cheeky little graffiti artist :)

I would die for that beautifully doopy horse. Absolute perfection. No notes.

This is great! Pro tip: if folks would like to sketch or grid your fabrics before starting, kids washable markers work great! Pencil can leave smudges.

As someone who does cross stitch designs as a job... I am so excited for you to dive into this world 🤣 It definitely takes forever though lol. Love your designs! They turned out super cute. Even the kitty and frog tbh. Variegated thread can be a bit tricky to design with as you have to kinda stitch in a particular order to get the colors to pool the way you want. (or stop and start cutting your thread where you want it.) But you NAILED it! I loved your paintbrush shovel.

the _longest_ art form? Kasey, there's still normal embroidery and lace making 😂 Cross stitch is quick and easy in comparison

I absolutely love cross stitching! I find it relaxing in a hyperfixation kind of way. I also started with a small little premade kit… and then my second project took me 1.5 years of continuous work - a portrait of a cat in an art studio, fully counted (no outlines). So… im dedicated when I have a project in front of me 😝

I just got into cross stitch a month or so ago after not touching it for decades as well. It’s been fun! Hearing you talk about wanting to do more writing, I just found the cutest font on Pinterest where it’s stick figure cats make each letter. I don’t know how to explain it or even how to search for it but I know you’d appreciate it if you saw it

I love cross stitching. It is a hobby that has been passed down for many generations in my family. from my great grandmother to my grandmother, to my mom, and finally to my sister and I. My first ever time doing it was of Hello Kitty.

Hullo Kasey, I am NOT going to go pickup cross-stitching! I have purchased a Prixel printing set as I am hopeful they will ship the next “extra packs” soon! I have only made a couple of prints, yet I am finding it a true joy to work with this printing method! Thanks! Oh . . . . I guess I am going to be “that guy” Where is the ANT BOOK? Stop messing around with cross stitching and get your butt in gear and make some headway on the Ants! You know enough people that you can ask for help should you feel the need to get the project going! Ok, I am done for now. Thank you for sharing another facet of your art journey. We do look forward to your videos and you are appreciated. Please keep creating and sharing your art journey with us. Say hey to Dave too, as well as ham n cheese.

I don't do cross stitching, but I do knit or crochet pixel art. It does take forever, but that's what I love about it. You just have to come up with the idea once, and you are good for the next few weeks or months. If I want to do something quicker I draw (as I very really do colored or rendered pieces). Your horse is really silly by the way
