I’m also in a studio. I am older approaching senior year years. When my son left home I NEVER CONSIDERED a studio. I have nightly bad anxiety ptsd episodes which made me consider a down size from a one bedroom to a studio. My studio is medium size. It really works for me. I love the coziness of a studio I have been in my unit 5 years. I still like it & believe I will be here for quite awhile. Glad you found something that will work & it looks nice

Natural light, hardwood floors, you did good. This looks like one of the nicely renovated older buildings that have rent control (super important here and the older buildings by companies like wcsmith or keener are honestly where it is at and so much better than the "luxury" shipping containers they keep throwing up). When I moved to dc 9 years ago I didn't pay that much less for a basement studio all the way out in Takoma. Anyway, this just randomly popped up on my page - hope you love living in DC!

Hi Erin -just started watching your videos tonight. I watched how you decorated your studio, and then I started to watch this one. Congratulations!!! How exciting to move. You are going to have so much fun decorating that place. Can't wait for the videos. You are so right, --everyone talks about decoratig their way larger place and hardly anyone talks about their studio. I also live in a studio. Will share my place with you some day. The new place has such great vintage features. And I would love to have a window in the bathroom, especially one that size. I really like the b & w color palette in there as well. Good for you. Merry Christmas.
