Has we grow we come to realise that the perfect apartment slowly takes its position lower on the list. I presently live in an amazing apartment 400 feet above sea level with mountain and sea views through floor to ceiling glass...which I put on the market on a friday and sold it on a saturday (full asking price). I have grown to a point that all of this remains important to a degree, but it is now lower on my list, and has been overtaken by where I am happy and feel at home. I agree, you have to immediately feel that 'vibe', gut feeling connection with a property. Has for keeping your 'light', this is never guaranteed on new developments, where resale, it probably is. But I hope you found what you were looking for. Good Luck.

Coming from London England to Toronto ... Toronto is definitely cheaper! Less expensive the further you get away from the city. Sad that the market has forced 3 people to share a condo!
@KevBautista3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for putting this together. Does the $3600 price tag inclusive of other fees like association dues (if applicable), hydro and other ancillary items? Moreover, how do you think new migrants can provide strong credit scores if they've only been there for less than a year? Finally, and most importantly, are condos in Toronto well sound-proofed? Nobody wants a noisy neighbor of course, and the idea of hearing strange sounds from the neighbor terrifies me. Hope to hear from you soon, Kev.
@camilanovalife2 жыл бұрын
Typically, the rent includes all fees for the building and hydro. You will hear noises all the time. The walls are not very sound-proofed.
@xsysjourney95592 жыл бұрын
@@camilanovalife The noise totally depends on the building. My current place is very sound-proofed and I almost never hear any noise; but my previous condo (in the notorious CityPlace) was sooo bad, and I constantly heard my neighbour sneeze, shout, drop objects, etc 😂
@camilanovalife2 жыл бұрын

782sq ft....Wow, that's huge compared to my 425sq ft. but I am not paying that level of rent. I am about half that and only on the ninth floor. I used to live in a place that had the St. Michaels emergency helicopter fly past every day at least twice at night as well. So a few sirens is not an issue. Wait till you can reach out and touch a medical helicopter as it passes by!

Basically the landlord wants the parents to be responsible if anything happens. Ive had this with some grad students renting a duplex from me. The parents offered, so I accepted. Its not so easy being the landlord guys. Lots of risks. You need to cover yourself. Goes both ways.

What of if I'm new in the country and its my first apartment, will they still need credit score from me? And if I do have more than enough money to cover a 2 years rent as I'll be sponsoring myself to Canada, is there any need for more bank statements and more reports or letters?
@suebh94323 жыл бұрын
confused, did you buy or rent? if you rented why do they need all the financial info and stuff in such detail as if you were buying? gone are the days when you walk into a place, say you like it and you'll take it and that's that! yup, that was actually what it was like in the past. maybe not in TO but elsewhere.
@ImFoReal9833 жыл бұрын
There are way more rights for tenants here in Ontario, it can take several months to evict a tenant. Additionally, no evictions were taking place for a while during the pandemic and so landlords were taking a huge risk because if the tenants lost their job or refused to pay, they couldn't do anything.

There’s no dream condo mate. New comers stop milking daddy money. It’s making the economy higher and difficult for 9-5 people to own a property something. Thumbs down to Toronto housing market for allowing foreigners to put more money (back home $) and making it a higher rate for a couple or average people.
