I liked it and I am enjoying book nr 2 now! Its all about the characters. They are fun.

I think my favorites of June were a tie between I Who Have Never Known Men, The Bee Sting, and Monstrilio. They were all very good and all had a bit of magical realism (ish) in them.

I liked the Netflix version of the Potato Pie story. I should read that one soon. Might get me out of my reading slump.

Thats true! I forgot it had been made into a series.. It is a light read so it might be good for getting out of slumps:)!

June was not a great reading month for me - of the 4 books I read, my favorite was Heartstopper volume 1 by Alice Oseman.

I liked heartstopper but I remember reading them too fast. I guess I thought it would be like reading a regular novel 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s on the list. It will be either that one or the castle. And just to be clear I gave Salinger 3/5 stars it did not despise it.
