I certainly believe in my humble opinion that your the best of the of the trucker Video blogs that I look at daily. My brother was an OTR Trucker for many years and he said you learn how to "hurry up and wait".

Glad you brought up the topic of Uber, Jack. Uber is available in Malaysia, from where I am. I take it all the time -- so much so I don't even drive my car much anymore these days. It's definitely very convenient. And yes, they arrive fast. Much, much faster than taxis. I even take Uber when I run errands these days. Saves a hell lot of time and trouble trying to find parking.

Thanks for your videos. Very entertaining. I'm also a commercial driver and hope to get back on the road this year. You mentioned about the LTL and a Full load. Without getting too personal about your finances, how do you calculate which loads you want to take. I understand that you are a owner operator now. Stay safe out there.

Hi Jack, just a question, how many miles do you do a week?
@deadfreightwest59568 жыл бұрын
Commodities, which are typically heavy loads have low value, hence lower shipping rates. If you were a heavy hauler, moving high-value equipment, wouldn't it be different?

One question plz. when your not carrying a load etc does this still count as your daily allowance to drive? So if you travel 7 hours with no load, getting the truck fixed etc. Does that mean only 1 hour allowed for carrying an actual trailer?
@indianajack7 жыл бұрын
+Andi Sadler if you have no load and you are completely off it does not count against your hours. That is called personal conveyance.
@andisadler28977 жыл бұрын
EXCELLENT buddy, so glad you sorted that out. Must be same similar rules here in the UK also. So realistically the driver could be driving for 15-16 hours? personal conveyance and pulling a load.
