The x15 has a 4 micron suction side fuel filter and a 8 micron pressure side fuel filter. These are both smaller micron filters than previous cummins engines due to the x15 new next gen xpi fuel pump. I'm from the old school, when my dad ran trucks we ran 15000-18000 mile oil changes and replaced fuel filters and greased at 7500miles. Filters are cheap insurance if you have to replace $12000 worth of fuel system components on that cummins cause cummins denied warranty due to contaminated fuel or non approved filters or intervals. I'm just a dumb diesel mechanic! Great video as always sir, keep'er tween the ditches!

Degreaser ( I buy gallon jugs at sams) for the tires to clean them. Them Silk Shine by chemical guys, about $30 for a gallon. And can be used on interior too. And it’s dry to the touch. Nice subtle shine not a wet look but great stuff all in one tires and interior. Spray on tire sponge app and wipe on the tire. Great stuff!

Winter blend is thinner than summer and would flow easier. As far as changing both filters, my opinion would be to only change the filter that needs changing.

Sir Tim !! Congrats on the fuel system cleanup !!! Now u won't have to wonder when u are gona be stuck on the side of the road with fuel filter issues !!!!! When u mow the yd,,do u wash the underside of the mower deck as grass buildup turns to acid when drying out !! We wash ours every time we mow !!! The toro mower is 30 yrs old & still running fine !! Don't use any oil between seasons & changed every 20 hrs of mowing !! KEEP IT SAFE !!!!

Sergei is a pretty sharp guy, but like a lot of folks isn't able to take advice or criticism. He has great chaining skills and is getting better, but there are other areas that if he would just listen to people with more experience than he has he could benefit greatly. Rob Peters touched on the problem with his comment about Sergei living in his truck. That's a really small world and his interests are narrow too. Cameras and trucking. That's it. Hard to develop interpersonal skills in a vacuum. I wish Sergei well, but he needs to get outside his little shell and explore some real estate. Meet and talk to some people. Some people just HAVE to reinvent the wheel. Often.

Actually it would make me suspicious if I did not see some delta P rise out of the fuel filter after an unusually long installation. I would change it fearing it had a hole in it or a tear. Your right about Sergie, he's one hard headed old rooskie. But I follow you both and find you each interesting for different reasons. Get a leaf blower, it will leave very little for the towel, go a lot faster and you won't have water bleeding out everywhere when you get rolling. Thank you for the video!
@LifeisGood20186 жыл бұрын
Mr42960 I think your right, I should change it out early, there is no way it should have made it this long, believe it or not I tried the leaf blower out on the truck and it didn’t work, works great on my bike 🏍

Sergie doesn't handle comments well at all, he was turning comments on and off ever other week. Think he has them set up to be screened by him now, I watch his videos but he really needs to grow some thicker skin.
@The_JEB6 жыл бұрын
some people can take criticism and other cant, its unfortunate, but meh, I dont watch his videos to read the comments. Sergie seems to know what he's doing, and I think that he thinks those who are commenting on his videos have no idea what his work entails, in some cases that is true but others it isnt.
@spencers41216 жыл бұрын
Yea, I only noticed because he would bring it up in the video. He even went off in one video about something someone told him in the comments being wrong. I thought to myself welcome to life, people tell you incorrect shit all the time.

I thought the rates had the fuel surcharge added in when fuel prices got so high? or is that just when you have the loads contracted for with the big carriers etc ? thanks
@LifeisGood20186 жыл бұрын
Banjo Benson yep you got it right, with the contacts when leased to a carrier or under a contract with a shipper and you have it billed into the rate, under my circumstances it doesn’t matter.

I dunno about the x15 but I do know that our little mack's run cumin's in them wish we could have a 13 speed or a heck a 10 speed instead of the automagic lol Making me Jealous with ya switching high low. Yeah I dunno about you but I know everyone from Morristown/knox/cleveland to nashville are Flipping thankful they raised that speed limit from 68 to 369 Not that it helps any car's still fly threw knox like they got a Fire on the other side of the city they need to get to because there Prized poodle is in the building ya know? Same with the truck's doesn't really help any lol I heard about that accident you where talking about... You hear about the one down at the 212 in Georgia? Had 1 lane on southbound shut down to Land Life force on the interstate with 2 more inbound. your right there's no need for that Really there is not one slip one quick jerk and you could be flying into the woods if yer lucky to stay upright. Anyway take care Out there See ya on the flip side.
