@@maximbudnick it did. xander has his kinda goofy but still educational approach of editing which is also nice but your approach is more about natureporn and kind of a calm vlog with less speaking but letting the video speak for itself. some scenes are about the same because its the same trip but also not the same because of the editing. which, like i said, makes it really worth watching both videos even though its the same trip. thank you for sharing

@@maximbudnick Good point! I haven't been to Quebec City in a long time, but my friends tell me that the snow there just adds to the charm. Contrast with Montreal or Toronto, which both have their good points, but "charm" isn't really that high on the list. 😮 Or Vancouver, where on the odd occasion when they get significant accumulation they just shut down for a week or so. Here in Calgary we get a handful of big dumps each winter, but we just wait for a Chinook to blow through and get rid of the bulk of it. The big dirty piles still hang around for a long while, though. 🙁

Tarps, axes, saws, tent, stove, stove pipe, food, several changes of warm clothes, large sleeping bags, emergency kits, spare boot liners, waterproof bags, lots of camera equipment (cameras, lenses, tripods, charging stations for batteries), pots, pans, dishes, cups... Even when you bring it down to the minimum you need, it still adds up to a lot in winter. Cheers and thanks for watching!

We did! Part of the reason we planned this trip as we did was to learn how fast we can move with the weight - so we don't find ourselves in trouble on our upcoming much longer trip. Hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. Cheers!

Hi, Sam. There are a few reasons part of a lake might not freeze. I believe in this case it was because there was some moving water in that area. Thanks for stopping by!

What type of meals are you using? Freeze dried? Dehydrated?

Mostly dehydrated which I do at home - but if you see a store bought bag then it's probably freeze dried. Cheers!
