I have really missed your videos but I understand the weather because I was born and raised in Livingston, spent my time or I should say my spare time on the Yellowstone fishing and collecting agate at the same time. I’m 88 now and I only have a few pieces left that I have cut and polished. We’ve made two trips to the event mind and collected crystals. I use an upland birding belt and pants for rock hounding. The belt holds quite few rocks, water bottle and snack. The pants are double kneed, so if I kneel on the rock my knees are padded. Being 60 padding is important.

Good to see you all out and about! My family had covid at Christmas time so we haven't had the time to spend with them! Everyone is fine now, thankfully! I did get a flat lap for Christmas and just received my grinding discs two days ago! Hopefully I can get it all set up tomorrow and start making some cabs and whatnot! When you tumble pieces like that "satisfying" pet wood piece, do you start off with a coarse grit or start with a 120/220 type of deal?

so is a Montana Glow Stone , just all those clearish agate/Chalcedony nodules. I have a lot of those, yet have never heard them called that. Do they glow under a blacklight? why call it a glow stone?

Technically they do glow under blacklight. But they also just glow at sunset which is when I was hunting.

One last question is do you have to get one of those special Black lights that uses that second level of wave length, sometimes you can just buy different lenses for your flashlight, or it’s a whole different machine that they use to see the opperlights of northern Michigan and such for people who are into glow in dark minerals, I’m thinking about buying one and wondering if I have to buy a special type of light Or lens
