Finding Rare Uranium Glass for Faceting

Today we go in search for gemstones and managed to find a rare piece of uranium glass that i decided to facet into 2 beautiful pieces of collector art.
Uranium glass is a rare form of glassware that is now very collectable due to the small traces of uranium used by glass makers to give the glass a beautiful green colour.
Uranium glassware is quite valuable and seems like a waist once broken so we decided to recycle the rare glass into faceted gemstones for collectors to admire until i decide to sell my art.

Much of the yellow and green Depression Glass is also Uranium Glass. I carry a UV pin light to find it at yard sales. Also you might want to wear a mask when working with glass, you don’t want to breath the dust

Very cool! Uranium is quite abundant on the Australian continent, so I've heard. Mining it seems a bit difficult due to the process of gaining the necessary approvals and public perception, but we have that Boss Energy producer in SA and Deep Yellow aquired Vimy Resource's uranium projects in WA & the NT this year or last to compliment their primary Namibian mine site. Other than the already built Boss Energy mine in SA that's ready to go, there's also Olympic Dam in SA that might be run by BHP and Ranger in the NT. Merry Christmas 🎄

The video was cool and all.. But why would there be uranium glass in your river. I understand that Australia produces quite a bit of uranium. But uranium glass is 100% man made. So unless someone smashed a uranium glass plate in that exact area(or maybe a bit up stream) the likelihood of you running across Uranium glass in a natural setting is like 0.0001%. Was there a nearby uranium glass facility or something that im not grasping? Thank you for enlightening me😊.
