Myself also!... being on oxygen and a walker makes it just a bunch of memories of camping rough. It’s really nice to re-live it through age of north..wasn’t as snowy in my area of PA in USA but certainly just as wet! Thank You!

I've watched Lukas's videos for a long time. What impresses me the most is how he preserves his energy by being deliberate in his movement and assembly of his shelters. I've watched lots of others but no one is as attuned to his surroundings as this young man. It takes a lot of physical strength to do this but more importantly it takes mental strength and fortitude that most people do not have in this day and age.We see his work on screen but we do not see all the other work he does by setting up his own shots and capturing the entire experience in such a natural flow. Lukas, you are an exceptional young man with a true Viking spirit. You do yourself, your parents, and your country proud. I don't even know you and I am proud of you.

Love your channel mate, proper raw camping, nothing like these other KZbinrs and there fancy camping gear! This is what camping should be about, making shelter with what’s around you, it’s about being with nature. Keep up the brilliant videos.

Very impressive.. I appreciate that you only use dead fall trees. I know that the live boughs that you use for the bedding comes from the bottom of the tree with little harm to it. This type of conscious building shows me that you care deeply for the environment. Great craftsmanship.

Right! I always watch bushcraft guys and so many use young trees and idk it kinda hurts watching. I am new to this. I have built my firdt shelter a few days ago and only used dead trees. I would feel so horrible killing a tree because they are disappearing ech year because of the paper industry and chenicals from the sky so yeah i dont want to be like the enemy.

I use to do much the same in upstate n.y.🎉 I worked the farms ,ran the woods, streems, and medows. I trapped ,hunted, and worked as a teen. It helped me find solace and room to be more than, the spoon fed, spoiled, vidio game playing teen of today. I wonder how strong the new generations will be. Im 55.

pile up logs, debris, and boughs into a Quonset hut shape, with rounded ends. 4x4x 7 ft at the top, 6x6x 12 at the bottom of the pile, cover it with a tarp, Pile on damp debris, 2" thick, at dusk. Let it freeze overnight, next evening, add a 3" layer of much wetter debris, let it freeze, next night, add a VERY wet layer, of debris, 4" thick. Once it freezes, cut a hole into the downwind end. Remove the logs so you can burn them to heat 4 head sized stones. Make a raised bed inside of the shelter, with a row of pits under the bed, Surround each hot stone with a 2' thick layer of ashes. Make a right angled, crawlway entrance, the same way you made the main shelter, but the crawlway only needs the first layer of debris. Make a couple of crossed stick /bough/frozen debris doors, one at each end of the crawlway. Stuff the shelter and the crawlway with dry debris or boughs and you wont need the hot rocks until it's below 20F degrees. even if you have no sleeping bag. There's a way to melt lose your tarp from the shelter-debris, too. Fold the tarp in half, stuff it with dry debris or boughs, fold it in half again and secure all the edges. presto, sleeping-bag.
