That is a hexagonal clay water pipe, currently manufactured by K. Lyons pottery in Australia, but available widely as recycled building materials, but I don’t know who has ever made them historically or where. Clay water pipes are one of the more long lasting building materials, have been in production since the 1700s, and can provide service for over a hundred years. Considering that there looks to be some sort of abandoned water flow or drainage trench near there, this find would make sense to me as being legit.

Land reclamation work was carried out in this area 50-60 years ago to drain the marshy soil. And such artifacts are often found in this area.

I will correct you a bit on the pipe. It's ceramic, and atleast were i live, since it's mostly marshlands, in 1800 or 1900 goverment installed those pipes in swampy lands, to drain them, and turn em into fertile land for producing crops... So even now, while digging randomly in your backyard, we still find those pipes around. So in hindside it's leggit. Though diging up a place to stay, next to a drainage ditch... Ballsy i'll give him that, you would never see me digging up a drainage ditch, were all the water ends up... he's going to sink his own work...
