I am now 78 years approximately . My BAZURG belong to village GURGUSHTIAN. Sir Ganga Ram ji gave employment to the grandfather of my father , as MUNEEM . When my grandfather passed 8th class he was also brought to Lahore. At Lahore my grandfather , in due course of time became ADVOCATE There after , was sent to England and returned as BARRISTER. This was due to support of Sir Ganga Ram ji , only. OUR FAMILY USE TO REMEMBER HIM AS " LALA JI ".

There’s even a Sir Ganga Ram hospital in central Delhi which is one of the biggest Multi speciality hospital in Delhi. It was built right next to the place where thousands of migrant families who came in from Lahore, Multan, Sialkot , Sindh , Peshawar Derewal etc and settled in Delhi.Its great to know the legacy this legend, thanks.

Dear Sir, i am really grateful to you for showing the city of Lahore where my maternal grand parents moved from to Delhi during partition. I am born and brought up in Mauritius and i have heard stories of Lahore and of the partition from my mother. While moving to Delhi, they thought that it would be only temporary and that they would go back to their home in Lahore one day. Through your videos i am discovering the galeez of the city and houses and this is taking me back to the early 1900s and imagining how my ancestors lived and how their houses must have been. I live in Delhi and had the opportunity to visit Sir Gangaram Hospital. There is his statue at the entrance lobby. It was really interesting to know about him and his contribution written on an information board installed nearby. I wanted to know more about him and this video has full filled my wish. He has narrated it beautifully. Being from architecture background myself I always wanted to explore more about his contribution in this field. It is good to see that his house is still in a very good condition. We have so many historical place in both the countries Hope one day we could get the chance to visit them in person also.

I dropped him in Model Town, Lahore where he was staying and he told me this was residence of Sir Ganga Ram, I requested him tour of the house. It was one acre house, now divided into two portions. Greetings from Lahore. What an inspiring personality Sir Ganga Ram was. He carried pride in his design and creativity. "Amazing" is not the word to describe his remarkable innovations those were way ahead of his time. But for the record, he did not design Model Town of Lahore. He, albeit chaired the town hall session in which cooperative society was created that undertook design and implementation of the project.
