Can you make a video about how to research a Norwegian Military Veteran ? My Great - Grandfather Gilbert Strand served in the Norwegian Army, he was born in Hadeland, Oppland fylke, Norway. I’m trying to locate his military records in Norway. His farm name was Strandeeiet, and now it’s renamed to Strand, Gran,Oppland, Norway the farm is located in Gran. He married my great grandmother Gudbjør Olson Strand in 1892. There is a family story that my dad heard from my paternal grandmother ( Grandma ), that Gilbert was in WWI. I would like to learn and find out all the information that I can on him. As well in the 1910 United States Federal Census: it list his immigration year as 1906 but I went to the Norwegian Digital Archives and found a immigration record that stated in 1905. He left the Norwegian port of Oslo, in Norwegian immigration records from Kristiania 1871-1930 records. Thanks Cody

I have actually very interesting to share about my Genealogy research. I took the ancestry dna test looking for viking and found none. Being confused i followed this rumor told by my dark age nobles. Then I found these busts the Roman's have 3000 years ago and my family look like twins of these guys still today and my last name means the eyebrow bridge of the Sarmatians. It turns out that we Slavs are decended from the Sarmatian knights and Amazon warrior women. Their tombs were found 5 years ago and have our dna. Then I found out that my herd was found in 1400 during a massive Tartars invasion of Slavic lands. The Slavic Hussars calvary came to defend the lands and all the herdsmen were gathered for the defenses while the women took all the herds into Poland. My namesake was commander of the archers during the defense and won his coat of arms. Then some one sent me a photo of a deed of estate that was given to my family's herd. The Polish Capitol was in Lublin Poland in 1400. It's on Poles south east corner. Just south west of it is a large vacant lot of land going all the way to the next river. My family was deeded all that land for their herd. The herd was the herd of the Royals and all the Polish Hussars cavalries. When my family would retire they would become barrel makers from 1400 even when they came to America.
