Learning to recognize trout, or any other fish, from sonar is a great help to those of us unfamiliar with the tricks of using electronics. Thanks.

Thanks. I've been trying for about a year to get good content for a side scan video. That's the real game changer.

I'll get to it eventually. We have much bigger things to worry about in NC right now.

I'm editing hours more stuff right now. It really turned out pretty much like I was hoping. I'm using a gopro to take the footage. Gotta be one of the only content creators who doesn't know what they have until they're home.

Thanks! Y'all have no idea how much comments like this push me to make more. I just wish there was a better way to track their movements.

new subscriber, thanks for what you've done. Can't wait for that Helix settings attempt mentioned in sonar clip!
@FishingwithBrewski3 жыл бұрын
What settings attempt exactly? I stay so busy sometimes I lose track of projects. I've been meaning to do a video on sidescan if thats what you mean.

Yes, the mention of helux side scan got my attn

@@BHnNC I'll make a point to get it done. The trout haven't been too helpful in my area lately but I'll keep working it.

@@BHnNC I still haven't forgotten the sidescan video. I'll hopefully have good opportunities soon when we get some cooler weather.

what are your settings on the helix? I have a 5si.. and still learning how to use it..
@FishingwithBrewski3 жыл бұрын
Sorry I should have put that in the video or the description. I have the same unit exactly and I went through a lot of headache trying to "tune" the SI to get it just right and in the end it works far better after resetting everything to default. I'm going to make a video on the side imaging when I get a chance. SI is the real game changer when you get it working right.

How did you drop the GoPro's down?
@FishingwithBrewski3 жыл бұрын
Couple different ways. One of them I used the little square piece that comes with the gopro display case and strapped some big heavy bolts to it. To that I attached some heavy mono. The other is mounted on an anchor.
@elliotthiessen74923 жыл бұрын
@@FishingwithBrewski You could probably get some good trout school footage at a dock light with the mono.
@FishingwithBrewski3 жыл бұрын
@@elliotthiessen7492 The GoPros really struggle in low light conditions. I have definitely thought of trying it but I just doubt the footage would be anything worth watching.
