Interesting story: almost four years ago I played on a workshop map in Unturned based on the Zaton area of Pripyat. I didnt know about the Stalker game then, and I just played it as if it was any other Unturned map. Later that year when I stopped playing Unturned for a while, I no longer had that map downloaded and had forgotten the name. Just recently, however, I remembered the map, and wanted to play on it again, but still didnt know the name. I searched "stalker" and "chernobyl" in the Unturned workshop, but came back empty. But today, on a day like no other, I decided to watch an hour long video of Stalker: Anomaly from my favorite KZbinr, and at the 40:00 mark, deja vu hit me like a truck, because that power plant was where I kept dying to anomalies, and I recognized it in an instant. So I pulled up Steam, went to the workshop, searched "Pripyat," and there it was. The map that gave me so much nostalgia years ago was sitting in front of me. Anyways, I know most of you won't relate, cause Unturned is not that popular, but I just wanted to share that.

For future reference, "Med-X thingy" equivalent in STALKER Anomaly would be Morphine Ampoule. The Bleeding Control stats can be a little deceptive but it also include damage resistance as well. Combine that with the exosuit's exceptional ballistic resistance it can really helps you tank more than just 3 body shots, and it also lasts as long as 25 minutes so you won't have to apply regularly.

Irionically "Med-X" was originally gonna be called just Morphine in Fallout but they had to change it to get past Australian censors (so the story goes). That Morphine Ampoule is also straight out of M.I.S.E.R.E.Y. mod which also had a cheaper ampoule option that I forget the exact name of.

Hey Drewski, I’ve been enjoying the series so far and I just wanna give some tips out: - There are two types of artifacts, junk artifacts and the normal artifacts that you can use. You can see if it’s a junk artifact or a normal one if you hover your cursor on it to see the item’s stats. - Normal artifacts give off radiation so it’s best to put them inside led lined containers. If you happen to get an artifact application module you can put the artifact inside so you can put it on your item slots so you can get the positive and negative effects of an artifact. - Despite the name, junk artifacts can sell for a good amount of roubles. You don’t need a LLC since they don’t give out radiation. I usually just put them inside an item stash in the scientist’s bunker because sometimes the npc’s give fetch quests for artifacts, so if I happen to have the artifact they’re looking for, I don’t have to look around the entire zone for said artifact.

I had a friend who was doing something similar with a hog hunt along the border in South Texas. Said that one night he heard something that sounded like a man with his throat slit. Since the cartels had dumped people on his ranch before I figured that this is what it could have been. Since his little brother and his friends were out camping at the time he grabbed his friends who were over armed up and went out to go and check on the kids and said that all he saw was this giant humanoid figure charge out if the darkness and it was a fucking dear with mange. He said he shit himself and they just slowly wandered over to where the kids were and stayed out qith them for the night (after hiding the guns because even if it's the fun part of Texas several armed men is still several armed men) Anyways after that two days later they found a strangled man on their property and had to deal with the patrol

There are 3 ways to deal with poltergeists (big blue-ish light bubbles that throw sh!t at you) 1. Move as quietly and slowly as you can, if they don't hear you, they won't attack. 2. Shoot them in the middle. Tricky, hard shot, but they can be killed. 3. Throw a grenade in their path. Needs a good timing, but it usually kills them.

12:27 Armor mostly protects from blunt projectiles, but in real-world terms, a shotgun blast would still cause severe blunt impact trauma (the sort of thing that gets shrugged off in video games a go go). A 12-gauge slug can bust the engine block of a Mack truck, so you'd definitely feel it even if you're wearing the most advanced modern armor. Sub-caliber sabot darts are made to penetrate armor, so they're different in a lot of ways.

At 23:25 there’s a guy behind the last pillar that slinks away after drew spots him. Like a ghost or some actual horror movie stuff.

The looting, and slow progression over the map is the meat and potatoes of stalker 🙏

I love this game so much. I just started seriously getting into it and the atmosphere and immersion is unbeatable. I want to go play it right now! But I'm at work so I can't. This is good enough for now though.

6:40 for a second there, I thought you weren't going to make it. I didn't for my first try, and it took me those last couple of seconds to realize what I had to do...

Yes! I look forward to this series more each time. You were so lucky just waltzing into the brain scorcher like that! So fun to watch

Drewski forgot the documents in the brain scorcher. They were by the skeleton next to the off switch. Also some tips: Caffeine fights the dizziness effect. Hold F to go into the 'loot' mode. It will show items about 5 feet around you and what they are. All of the labs have documents you can grab and then sell for some extra cash.

30:50 Scariest sounds I've heard while hunting is voices. My rifle might punch a hole in plate steel, but that's only so much lead you can put down range with minimal lighting at 2 in the morning, that's why I carry two handguns and a backup lever action rifle, because there shouldn't be anyone 50 miles out of town out on my land.
