Fun fact, I found a box for Super Mario World complete with the inserts at a local store a few years back. It was one of my favorite games so I bought it for $10. Didn’t realize until later that with my game it was worth almost $500. As much as I loved the game, I had to let it go once someone offered me that much for it. One of the best surprises of my life

They were probably better before more people got into collecting/reselling. I went to a flea market in Ohio and got a copy of Hagane for $5 (though at the time it was only $30 on eBay before Hudson went out of business)

I would need to do more research, but according to Wikipedia, there are 1,028 Sega Saturn games, not including compilations or non-game software. Of those, 785 are exclusive to Japan, which is 75% of the total. I also would speculate that the game was either not well received upon release, is a region 0 game, or was not printed in large quantities

%60 is absolutely paying up. Most places will be locked at 30-40%. It’s the main reason I started selling on eBay because I wasn’t making any money trying to sell my collections at stores for 30-40%.

When you're reselling it definitely is. After you factor in fees (15-20% since they hit you with fees on shipping and taxes), they'll get a fraction of what they paid. When I buy stuff at sales I want to at minimum purchase for 1/3 the solds (obviously something like this is a special case).
