I feel like overlooking a couple of safety measures for an adventure.. It could be okay... maybe. But they overlooked literally every single red flag in this thing and especially if you're going TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN

Overlooking safety measures usually always ends up being a disastrous risk, especially when dwelling with an unknown environment like the ocean. There are some cases where you can allow yourself to overlook it, because the risk is extremely, extremely rare, but everything about this journey sounded like a disaster waiting to happen honestly. They chose their own (bad) luck by overlooking major risk factors. Those are punished who forget their own mortality.

The guy that has gone down 35 times has gone in other submersibles as well as the Titan. The Titan has been the trip down there like 12 times which caused a lot of fatigue on the hull which causes the implosions. I think

They had coms with the mother ship for an hour and a half after descent. They have had successful trips to titanic previously in this submersible. They had a high powered light to see when they reached the bottom. When implosion happened it was so fast their brains wouldn’t have had time to register it…it was instantaneous.

It is possible, the difference is those people strictly abided by safety regulations and put in all the time, testing & money needed to ensure it would be safe. The ceo routinely dismissed safety and prioritized “pushing the envelope”.

I feel more sympathy for the people who don’t want to turn a graveyard such as the titanic into a rich person’s tourist clout homing ground. The only one who deserves sympathy is the kid. Everyone else lobbies to get their taxes cut and money up at your detriment (and theirs from what we saw). People like those do not deserve sympathy especially during times when everyone is struggling to afford the necessities. They lived in excess and greed and now they’re dead because of their own ignorance, and stupidity. RIP the kid though.
