Yes we FINALLY have cap, but does a player want to play here, I think is more of an issue they will face. For example, tarasenko was offered more money to play in SJ but took a smaller deal in Ottawa. I’m also fine with signing someone and flipping them for assets. Exciting to say the least

I think that Bertuzzi makes the most sense for both parties. His numbers ended in a decent place with Toronto but they were frustrated for what they paid and expected. He might be willing to take a prove-it deal with the Sharks knowing he can probably easily rack up 80 points just before turning 30. He can also be a legit winger for the Sharks and help the youngins along, people speak really highly of him.

Love all these as potential FA targets, specifically the Shayne Gostisbehere shoutout. I would like to add the Roslovic and Duclair. They both have had solid seasons but neither have played themselves into a long term deals imo. This means that the Sharks could potentially lock them in for 2 -3 years on a higher AAV. Both of these two would be great complimentary pieces for our young skilled guys trying to get their footing.

The Bertuzzi signing would in essence give Labanc’s money to him and that’s a huge upgrade from Labanc to Bertuzzi

I commented on another cast to this, what if Toronto offered Lilly or Robertson as trade bait to get the 14th (Pens) pick and give us their first rounder at 23rd? I don’t know a lot about guys outside top 16 this year, not sure how deep. If we can’t get Eiserman, Nygard or a D-man that slips thru I wonder if trading down for a proven NHLer makes sense?

nygard will 100 percent be there, and if he isn't, then someone good slipped. i agree on dman though. would rather trade up from 33 than trade down from 14 for Elick.

My issue with your selections is that it does not align with what GMMG stated he was going to not do with contracts this offseason. Most of the forwards you presented need 4 or more years on their contracts and they seem a bit expensive. looking at the previous offseason very few got more than three years on a contract. I would be surprised if he signs anyone for four years or more. If the players you listed want more than a three year contract I think you can throw them out as options. I think he signs contracts of three years or less.

Many players signed short-term contracts, knowing there would be a jump in the cap this offseason and more money available. As for the price, the Sharks need to spend money to get to the floor.
