Ive recently loaded and brought home 30 gallons or so of Pennie’s the my grandfather and father saved back in the day. None of them were ever looked at for collecting they just saved change. I’m currently putting them in separate buckets by year. Many of the older ones are in such great shape it seams bc they weren’t really circulated. I’ve got to start learning what to look for. You're very welcome Margaret - now remember that the 1962 cents come both in bronze and brass, and without a scientist you can't tell the difference.

@@margaretstoner4701 Definitely 1962. All the cents produced from 1963 through the first part of 1982 are brass, lacking the tin in the earlier coins.

IM here Because all the articles on the web say there are 7 varieties leaving out Denver, small date, copper (-or bronze edit: OOPS Brass) but will discuss the rare Denver small date as if its the new clad. So dang confusing. Thank you for clearing it up.

Actually, I consider all 7 to be semi-key, since they were never in a 1982 mint set. So, finding quality red ones makes it that much harder.

Probably the only video where a coin person knows the difference between bronze and brass. Even PCGS will put bronze on the label of the 82 cents.

I have one 100% and took it to a coin master and he is on the fence about because it’s in rough shape! The right is spot on and the 2 is perfect but it is rough and he is telling to send it in! I don’t know because he said he is on the fence of its shape and to pay $250 and it now crossover is hard to take

Have had 82 small date copper for 2 years now . Haven’t graded up to this point in time . Wanted to be certain by obtaining as much knowledge as possible . Am certain at this point .
