Great video I enjoyed it very much , I'm excited to get back out with the 5000 and watching you pick apart a patch is wonderful. And I definitely need to not loose patience on targets as much I'm definitely walking over more then not. That tree nugget reminds me of a target I gave up on that a buddy later dug a monster multiple oz pc from days after. Cheers from America 🇺🇸👍

Thanks, I also remember walking past a screaming target many years ago thinking it was junk only to have a friend dig it later.... very large nugget. I check every target now. Nice to see that my videos are making the USA scene :)

@@BKGoldDetecting absolutely 💯 I'm in the detexpert program with minelab and also picked up a sponsor. I travel back and forth across America from Boston Massachusetts to auburn California all the time for work and play. My first trip out west swinging minelab I found a 39 gram specimen with 31 grams of gold hosted along with a 2 gram Chevron nugget and a 1890 seated liberty dime by a claim post , I'm told it could be worth in upwards of 700$ lol great first romp. My next western trip is in August then for a stretch in January I have really aimed my focus on more detecting less panning & etc etc and videos like yours are splendid to view so thank you

They are actually on in the other video, must just take a few days to activate. On this one I just selected English language and they worked straight away. It’s possible that now I’ve selected the language it may apply across other videos. If you have an issue in the future just message me, I do try to help where I can. Enjoy :)

Nothing special tbh, close to factory, I mainly adjust the sensitivity depending on the ground. I find doing a reset each day to clear memory helps, as well as auto tune sometimes twice a day.

I wondering do you know - I sort of know what tailings are , material that has been thru a sluice. Could you tell me what a mullock heap is ? Can a mullock heap be tailings as well ?
@BKGoldDetecting
@BKGoldDetecting 3 жыл бұрын
What I refer to as mullock heaps are the piles of overburden thrown off to the side when the old timers dig a hole. They were digging to get to the pay dirt at the bottom. Tailings are very similar and some would call mullock heaps tailings.

So would those loaming People not be bothering with those size pieces you are finding , and went elsewhere - OR - did they simply miss out on that gold for whatever reason ?
@BKGoldDetecting
@BKGoldDetecting 3 жыл бұрын
They knew the gold was there, but it is simply not concentrated enough to put food on the table. The very fact they dug the prospecting holes slightly further up the hill proves they were on to gold. It simply was not economic, so they moved on to find richer pastures. That’s why I seek out these types of spots.

@@BKGoldDetecting Thank You - I hope to go out very soon and will run a wheelbarrow of dirt from diggings - just hope I don't choose dirt from a water race or dirt that has been thru a sluice or over burden

@@BKGoldDetecting thats the hard part, seeing the odd hole and knowing what went on there as opposed to areas where the holes almost touch each other and are many
@BKGoldDetecting
@BKGoldDetecting 3 жыл бұрын
@@neilrawlings3724 It’s not so much the random holes I look for, it’s a small area with a series of small holes leading up a slope. There was a reason for those holes and almost always they lead up to a reef. The old timers didn’t do anything without a reason, if they dug prospecting holes it was because their loaming samples were showing gold.

@@BKGoldDetecting i have a spot i have been shown i was told the holes were test holes, they are rectangular and all the same orientation , the dirt on their sides contained small peices jagged with no signs of having travelled could they have been perhaps small quartz reef outcrops?
