William Neill, a resident of Yosemite since 1977, is an award-winning nature photographer, widely published in books, magazines, calendars, posters, and his limited-edition prints have been collected and exhibited in museums and galleries nationally. He served as photographer-in-residence at The Ansel Adams Gallery for five years and received the Sierra Club's Ansel
Adams Award for conservation photography. Feature articles about his work have appeared in Life, Outdoor Photographer, and Communication Arts. His corporate clients have
included Sony Japan, Canon USA, Nike, and Nikon.
He is the photographic author of 13 books, including "Yosemite: The Promise of Wildness," "Landscapes Of The Spirit," "William Neill - Photographer, a Retrospective," "Light on the Landscape, and most recently, The Photographer's Portfolio Development Workshop.

Wow. A master lesson from a master artist in 24 minutes. I am inspired to focus in a the small things in and around my property and neighborhood. Thank you so much for sharing the simplicity of subjects you find close to home. I still love the grandeur of vast scenes but realize there are intimate scenes all around us.

I have a small townhouse hemmed in by two other townhouses, so I will need to continue buying your books instead of touring my grounds. Having said that, I have a small stream 100 yards away that I haven’t fully explored. Maybe there is hope in that.
