A wonderful and sensitive interview of an inspiring and amazing photographer whose talent is in inverse proportion to her ego (which is nil!). Thank you to the channel for introducing her work to me.

Be in the vicinity of the right place, around the right time and then be in the moment, ready to respond. Stay intuitive and let the serendipitous moment emerge. What a great philosophy. No wonder Huibo's work is so exquisite. Thanks for this wonderful interview.

Great interview and amazing photographs. It does make me wonder, as others have mentioned in the comments, whether we can find that kind of simplicity in our everyday surroundings, in street photography, for example. I will remember this approach: look for mood, simplicity, and shapes, and respond in the moment1

Thank you for the introduction to Huibo Hou! Her work is inspiring. I wish you had asked her about her approach to the heavy dodging and burning in her images. I'd love to know if she is visualizing the edit at time of capture or if it's a two part creative process.

Just discovered this channel and I very much enjoyed this video. Beautiful black and white photos and it was a great discussion. I am curious about her process, how much is in camera versus post processing. Thanks… subscribed!

Interesting- no mention of the gear used…?

Great work. Is this done with settings in the camera or post?

Very inspiring approach, very personal thus unique and motivating. Be yourself, everyone else is already taken. (Oscar Wilde) Minimalist black and white is a way to extract the sensation we have while looking at something and be able to see it free from distractions like colors and over-seeing, over-thinking, over-feeling.

You touched on the creative intuitive aspirations but non of the practical aspects of her photography. Like what sort of gear she prefers to use in what sort of situations. What fundamental approach does she use in post processing. Those are two important aspects that were brushed aside or ignored in your interview.

How far do we have to go to find that Simplicity? Desert dunes are so great but these are actually totally out of my normal world around. They are really existing but to me it‘s a fantasy like world. How can we find the Simplicity in our own world, oases from Complexity?
@marcogea19745 ай бұрын
You can make dessert dunes in the kitchen, without even leaving your own home!
