Thank you for your service. As an ex-Soldier of the British Army Infantry, watching these videos brought tears to my eyes. After i left in 2017, i had a tough time during the first year, trying to adapt and get my shit together. Went through all kinds of therapy and trying to get used to acting in a more civilized manner so i didn't walk around angry all the time, especially because of the way people behaved in the civilian world, was definitely challenging. My time in the Army was minuscule in comparison to what you guys went through and achieved but thank you guys for making these incredible "Finding your path" videos. I listen to them on the really shitty days, much respect.

Gentlemen I have never served a day the military, and I respect and honor all who have served for our country (USA) in my case. I myself suffer from depression, anxiety, and OCD. When my depression hits hard telling me I’m worthless and nothing, my OCD will repeat those thoughts over and over, and then my anxiety builds up. Then fear tries to take over. I listen to these videos daily to help me gain back control of my emotions and lock them down. These videos of have me through very very dark times. I want to Thank you truly for serving and sacrificing for our country and sharing your stories.

I literally just retired after 21 years. I was 11B my entire career and can really relate to everything he said, but there’s one thing that stuck out to me. The part about being masterless aka ronin. I’ve been feeling a lot of anxiety about my retirement because I’ve been a soldier all of my life. I’ve served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and all over the continent of Africa, and the one constant was having someone else have control over a lot of what I did. But this video somehow put me at ease. Thank you.

Sir as an ex soldier the way learned stays with a person because you are molded in a way of thinking and being. I still shoot i even see you wielding a kerambit type of blade wich i can dream trained with it and other blades. I work in security with the salvation army doing good work. The sense of what is wrong and what isnt in my vision is very strongly present. The way learned as a soldier stays. Respect from an ex brother in arms.

Very true very true 2020 I have chosen a new path I have shed my skin hung up the ghost of yesterday day there come,s a time 2 recognise in your life if you've got to walk a new path this happens to a lot of human beings throughout history re in the present and in the future we all evolved symbolically I am now a lone wolf I must walk my own path my own destiny and protect my own pack no more protecting the Sheep the Liars the backstabbers the people that weren't there for me but I was always there for them reached the certain age and it was time to choose a new path you have got to be willing to hang up the ghost of yesterday day .and and look deep inside yourself and work it all out mankind has done this through Time now is your chance to change your ways but the first step is always hard step bye steps will become easier I can relate to the big man thanks Ronin

That pension kinda makes it easy to disregard the world and make your own path in life. Not saying he hasn't earned it, just stating a simple fact. There are tons of veterans with as much gumption as him, but they didn't fully retire so they have a separate struggle to deal with the rest of their life. It's a big trade off though, because he gave up TWENTY THREE years! That's such a long time! I'm glad to see what he has used his skills and resources to create - his instruction is TOP NOTCH!

Watching this video makes me understand that not just you but every soldier, including my uncle who did 20 years in special forces like you did, knows what Hell they've been through and how hard it is to forget about it and to move on. And of course how difficult it can be when it comes to re-adapting civilian while you still have visions of the wars they've experienced. But there can be ways to bring sorta like inner peace inside of you and gives you the strength to move on to be with loves one and friends. So thank you Tu Lam for your 22 years of services to America, and I do hope you stay strong in your faith, may God bless you for your strength and your dedication to our country.
