I'm a 30 year old female and have always resonated with JP's views, and I realised why today - I'm type 5 too! Would be interesting to see you guys discuss MBTI and if there's a correlation between Ennagram and MBTI :)

While I am no deep expert, I use enneagram to have a conversation with myself and also with my coachees. I have a fair share amount of persons asking about this correlation. I will say there is some overlap but I see them as tools to use for self development and each of them different usage for different context. And as a aside I usually go to BIG 5 or Cliftons. Big 5 is peer reviewed in the academic circles. Cliftons is big in the MNC. Psychologist and psychiatrist have a different gold standard for measure of personalities. .

I’ve attended the basic and intermediate courses by Cindy and Coach Coen. I will like to say that enneagram is a very deep knowledge. I use enneagram for myself primarily and sometimes coach others. It has started a conversation within ourselves as we question and provides a structure. It’s more than just a label. Knowledge is just the start as we take this self awareness of how we operate and continue navigating the best we can. As I have texted Cindy, I like that she has bought the knowledge and introduced it in layman speak. Thank you Cindy and thank you daily ketchup for having her on.

15:50 hmm a bit disagree leh, why is having lack of energy and not intense a "limitation"? Why is it expected that the lower energy person should step out of their comfort zone instead of the higher energy person just calm down and take pleasure in doing the mundane things with their partner?

I think I feel is that we have agency and control. That there are things we can do. That ultimately most of the things we do within our control May and can lead to favourable outcomes

I think you will be talking about the big 5. I remember about some papers trying to correlate… it was interesting to see the composition of the factors correlating to the types and wing. The sample size wasn’t big though. I personally don’t see that this is a problem as both tools are used in different context and each has their strengths.
