There is the glass/ cup test and the body/ feet position test. Apparently if you "accidentally" put your glass too close to the person and if they didn't move away, it's a green light. And if most of the time their bodies are turned towards you, or feet pointed to you means they're interested already. It's an opened gesture.

Honestly, the idea of reading signs to whether someone is interested or not, is sickening. Neither of us are mind readers. Maybe I'm not romantic at all but I truly believe in just communicating your interest or lack of attraction can save alot of time and painful heartbreaks. We have to give no credits to romance novel and show to set such unreasonable standards. If I want to be a date, I communicate with the other party. If you don't feel the connection, you communicate. And not some 'read the signs' game. And I wish to normalise the rejection being common in rs and dates; there is no shame or pity in a rs that couldn't happen or didn't happen. As cliche is sounds, it is true that if it's meant to be, it will be. And if I have to go into a date to guess what the other person is thinking, I feel like this is not a relationship I want to be in if I have to guess in order to communicate and know what you want.

With that said, it's okay to tell someone your intention or even your feeling even on the first date. It might sound like it's too soon or might scare someone off by saying how I feel. As long as it's not sth creepy and we maintain respectful. It would be okay. I have the rights to say how I feel and the other party have the rights to reject and reconsider on how they going to process/respond to what I have to say.

I wish I could tell everyone that don't be afraid of saying how you feel to someone you have feelings for. You don't have to be afraid that you will lose them as a friend cos no one ever goes into a rs with a breakup in mind. As long as you try your best, that's all it matters. If someone were to cut you off because you confessed. Perhaps in the bigger picture, that person isn't for you. In this dating world, we are all responsible for our own behavior. It's sad that you can't be friends anymore. But I rather to on a journey to search for someone who is willing to communicate properly than someone who doesn't appreciate this friendship/rs. Dating is supposed to be easy😢 really screw those romantic and unrealistic norms sia

What do you mean lowered your standards by going dutch? You feel more valued when you don't have to pay for food when you're with him? I don't get it. Especially that from your perspective that it was just a meet up, so why wouldn't you go dutch on the food? Generally while men are expected to pay entirely for the first date, a lot of men actually value girls that are willing to go dutch. But I think his point in the video is that the girl was insisting rather aggressively like almost annoyed, to go dutch. It's usually a sign that she doesn't want to feel like she "owes" anything, and therefore that she's probably not interested.

It's true collecting toys visiting stores are always the way for moi. I have confessed with an elaborate thing. back then it was 2000 we were all gonna graduate that year, I had a ship going on with this girl, But we aren't really in love in love per se, we just hung out together, enjoyed each other's company. every one just called us bf / gf / that pair. etc. and every one in my class was asking me to do a thing for her. but what ? so to appease every one I told her that I will do something some how some where. That being said half the class was in band. and I watched 10 things I said about you. and I told the class that was in band lets do that Heath Ledger stunt in the movie. every one was like lets do this ! they practice that song that was known as the Carlsberg song for a while. The Drum Major who was in my class told me she would do a spin as a sign for me to start off the 1st and 2nd verse. So during sports day , Infront of the whole school. and , I took the mike and sang the song " can't take my eyes off of you." after I done the 1st and 2nd verse. She spin her mace to start off the tune before Chorus I sang the Chorus. then repeated 1st verse just to give her a love confession she will never forget. too bad no smart phone social media trend hype back then eh ?
