I've been at VIR many times with my Porsche 944TS track car and must say your line is 95% to mine I just started doing iracing now and have just started and l find sim racing a lot if fun and you don't have to pay that Porsche tax 😅

when I upshift in my car it revs all the way up and then shifts, as I can notice in your guide you neither use the clutch or let off the throttle. How can I fix this? It's one of the things that annoys me the most of the MX-5.

Sounds like you have AutoBlip on. Assuming you only have two pedals, i.e. no clutch, then switch this to auto-clutch in the 'options>driving aids' when you first load into the sim. It's not a huge deal in the mx5, but in other cars make sure you have either auto clutch, or auto blip selected if you have only two pedals.

As someone new to sim racing this track is so demotivating 😭

If you want to be fast on any track , and I mean top split fast it takes 10+ hours of practice on the track so don't be disheartened. It's took me 7 hours on this track to get from a 2.12 to a 2.09 and it will probably take me a few more to get that to 2.08

@963fn7 yeah. It’s not great. Space and compatibility with regular games is a factor, too.
