Hi I love ceramics. Really appreciated your discussion of making, glazing and firing clay and porcelain. My rice pattern dishes have the flower motif. Some flower dishes are marked TIENSHAN fine china made in china and some have Chinese script plus made in China. When I could not find 2 bowl shapes I wanted, I purchased them with the Dragon pattern. I am an avid follower of Chinese historical drama. My favorite is The Ledgend of Mi Yue. So well crafted. Regards

I love the flower motif ones too! Especially the ones with chrysanthemums on them. As well as the ones with red and gold contrasts too. I love that you have this collection! I'm more partial to the dragons because those were the ones I'm most familair with growing up. Yas! Chinese historical dramas are the best! Legend of Mi Yue is so good and I actually prefer it over Legend of Zhen Huan. There's also an older drama starring Zhao LiYing called Legend of Lu Zhen that should also talk about ceramics if I remember correctly :D

I have a few pieces of the dragon design and get more from Ebay when I can afford to do so. I do hope the factory will find employees to learn this beautiful craft. You are a lovely and well-spoken show host, and I wish you much success. I learned a great deal from this video.

Great in depth explanation of not only this type but of the making of porcelain in general. Hopefully the craft of these ancient arts will not be lost. Your video helps keep the focus on the art of this fine ceramic craft. I am far from a highly skilled artisian ceramicist, i do however know enough to know that you did a very good video here about the craft and its history! Thank you!

Thank you so much! This comment really means a lot to me and I am so happy that you enjoyed this video ❤ Rice grain porcelain is, perhaps, one of my most favorite designs and I'm so glad that I was able to share the history and background of it. Thank you again so much!

I knew a chinese-american buffet in Austria that actually uses LingLong porcelain, but I don't remember the name of this particular restaurant since it was 6 years ago, but it was a very amazing experience for me because I've always found traditional Chinese porcelain to be so elegant and refined, it reminds me of the azulejos from Spain and Portugal with its white/blue colorscheme and itd intricate designs.

That’s really awesome! Not a lot of restaurants near me uses decorated dishes anymore, it’s all just white ceramic. I’m doing more Chinese ceramic videos in the future to keep an eye out! 😊😊😊

@JadePalaceYaYa Жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm not exactly an expert in regards to historical artifacts. I really recommend taking it to an expert that specializes in this field to help you determine if your plate authentic. All I can say is that if it has english on the bottom, it's a modern creation.

Hello, can you help me identify mine? I have the same dragon but the stamp above Made in China, is the chinese symbol for China. Is mine authentic? Do you have any details?
@JadePalaceYaYa2 жыл бұрын
Does it have English “Made in China” still stamped under the Chinese characters. If so then it’s not considered an historical artifact and most likely made post 1980’s. That doesn’t mean it’s not authentic, just that it a modern made piece.
@granolabar94232 жыл бұрын
@@JadePalaceYaYa yes it does. Ahh okay. So it's not worth very much then? Hehe. Was gonna have it as a center piece.

It’s still a beautiful center piece. I have mine displayed because they’re still very eye-catching. Price wise probably not super expensive but culturally they’re priceless :)

The Ling Long porcelain faded off the shelves of Chinese-run housewares stores in San Francisco about 10 years ago. I miss it and started looking for more info. Your videos pack a lot of content in. Did you study Chinese ceramics in university? Thank you for sharing!
