When i fist listened to this song my immediate thoughts were “this is nothing like post traumatic, it sounds wack” now i have it on repeat. Everything Mike makes is amazing
@maksiskatulskis94645 жыл бұрын
It was actually the other way around, for me. I loved Post Traumatic for its message and its meaning, but some of the songs lacked a lot of the powerful musical elements that Mike was always known for during his time in Linkin Park. Nonetheless Post Traumatic was carried by raw emotions and the meaning behind the album with songs like Over Again, Nothing Makes Sense Anymore, Promises I Can't Keep. Which was the point. It was a shared experience for the fans to heal, a journey from Mike's darkest days to him getting out of that dark place. It was never supposed to be a hit record with banging tunes. Mike wasn't making a Linkin Park album, Post Traumatic was a diary of a grieving artist and if that's what you see it as - Post Traumatic is flawless, in that regard. This song however, from the first 10 seconds it felt like it has that Linkin Park energy. The energy, the musical integrity, the structure felt so familiar and nostalgic. The feeling of panic and sudden relief I felt during songs like Papercut, From The Inside, When They Come For Me and The Catalyst, brought me such joy during this song as I haven't felt this way listening to a song in quite some time. Mike captured those Linkin Park elements very well in this song and yet made it sound so unique and different at the same time. I am very hopeful for the future of Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda's own, solo career. Very excited to see what happens next.

It's amazing some people think the character Mike's playing is a hero somehow. He legit blew up the entire world. Obviously this video is about what happens when you have an army that faces something they just can't beat; an unwinnable war. The point of the video is to accept the things you can't do anything about, which honestly is a grim outlook.

Now, Mike releases stuff, and most people are still on about Chester. (Not you, it's just late, I haven't slept for a couple of days, and I'm ranting, sorry).

It seems like he is apart of the deepstate democratic progressive movement. I think they are using him symbolically weather he likes it or not. I think you could say he's just a puppet or actor of this symbolic video but I think he's down for it all too.
