It's the man that makes the tools not the other way around; you did a great job. While I haven't drawn recreationally since high school, my preferred drawing implement was always a cheap number 2 pencil where I was still able to achieve varying levels of lineweight, shade and texture. I also knew a guy who always drew beautiful landscapes and still life with a cheap Bic ballpoint pen.

Absolutely you completed the challenge. It’s crazy that I never actually expect anything other than perfection from you, and this still amazed me. Been a fan for a while and I gotta say that you’re 99% of my inspiration. Keep on doing you man, much love

I always knew that when someone has real talent they can create amazing things with cheap material and vice versa. The opposite is often true as well. I live in L.A. and know rich people with expensive art or musical equipment that don't even use what they have. Great video.x

He has created a definite direction of the light source and has used his values in accordance with his light source..He also gives us a great variety of textures which entertain the eye.The dominance of direction is by the repetition of vertical tree trunks which also vary in size and spacing adding more variety. Also note the diagonal shadows and negative light spaces on the ground which gives us a needed relief from the strong verticals in the trees which creates a subordinate in the directional movement of the work. He has used the elements and principals of design well . Carry on my wayward son.

For the drawing, you suggest scribbling to improve the mental health (!) And... for the sculpture?

jeje Good question J-L! I would say to apply the same concept, making the sculpture with no worries or too much regard, slapping the clay on, more by feeling than thought. :)
