Make them with barbed hooks! They would be way more killer!
@SuperDuperOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I use barless hooks based on my type of fishing. I do alot of catch & release and these hooks are the best for the health of the fish. Howeverrrrrr, I've learned by loosing trophy fish we need barbed hooks. I will now offer packs of barbed and barbless hook replacements on the website. It's no guarentee because I've have phatties spit the barbed hooks already. But it will get you better odds. Tight lines bro!!!

Do you have any problems with line twist with the spinning rod? I tried a split ring and barrel swivel on the bait but it changes the action too much
@SuperDuperOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Only on fast rivers. Not so much at the lake. I drift the spoon in rivers but when i reel in, the river has the spoon and it twist the line as i reel it in. I have to respool after a long morning session. But it's all part if the game. Burning in your bait at the lake doesn't help. Thats when it happens. But with slow retrieves, I usually don't have a problem. I have weeks on lake line and don't respool like when on a fast river. I use pLine cxx 4# & 2#. Just reel slow bro...

I’ve been looking for a new Ultralight setup rod and reel any suggestions? Daiwa?
@SuperDuperOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I'm running a Phenix Elixir and Shimano C4. ...man there is some much out there. Probably start with budget and go from there. I ping'd Dennis to see if he had other suggestions. May be others will chime in...
@deguzzy3 жыл бұрын
If you’re on a budget the Shimano Stradic Ci4 can’t be beat. It’s an older model but they are still amazing. If not on budget you can try to get a Shimano Vanquish ($500+) or a Daiwa Luvias Airity ($500) Pair them up with an UL from dobins, Phenix or go JDM route. Make sure you match the rod with the lures weight you’re using.. if you’re using micro spoons 0.8 grams - 1.2grams make sure your rod can throw it.

Hey brother love your content man! Question about your dragonfly spinning reel set up. I don’t have a Phenix dealer near me where I can pick one up and see how it feels. I have a Phenix elixir and it has a strong back bone good for larger spoons and jigs but I’m looking for something with a more sensitive tip that detects all those little bites. Is that something that the dragonfly can offer? Any feed back from your experience owning one helps and I really appreciate it!
@SuperDuperOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I also have an 7,1 Elixir and the Dragonfly has a similar feeling backbone and better sensitivity. Make sure you get the Fast Action version. You'll feel everthing with 2#. The other difference is the Dragonfly has Bling! Its Bling bro. Super nice finish. You'll be flexin at the pond bro.
@michaelperez1970 Жыл бұрын
@@SuperDuperOutdoors thanks for all of that info appreciate it! Yeah I want to jump on the dragonfly just wanted to make sure I talk to somebody that owns one and see how they like it before making the purchase it’s definitely a bougie purchase lol! But it’s a good investment for trout slaying! Haha gotta get on your level bro. Good looking out and keep up that good work brother 🎣

Brother I love watching your fishing videos, I just have 1 question for you. For those spoons, do you need a swivel or any small swivel?
@SuperDuperOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I use a clasp...no swivel. Anazon has the. #0 or #1 ....dont spin the spoon. Wobble it and speed is determined by weight of the spoon.
@chuavang80662 жыл бұрын
@@SuperDuperOutdoors I love catching those big trout too, the spoons what size you prefer to catch those big trout 3.0 grams, 5.0 grams or 6.0 grams. I ask because I will order some today.
@SuperDuperOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Ok. The weight is relate to the speed and depth. The heaver the spoon the faster deeper the wobbles. This why its good to have different sizes depending the condition. I hope that makes sense.

Bro, I'm been watching and following your youtube videos. Is the spoons have to be used by a swivel or just straight line tie?
@SuperDuperOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support brother! I use a clasp. No swivel. A #0 or #1 size clasp. I'll proboably have them on the website soon. You can tie on straight in a clinch with a loose bait knot but you have a higher chance of breaking off from the rubbing. I hope that helps.

@@SuperDuperOutdoors do you let it sink to the bottom?
@SuperDuperOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes but all the way. Depends on the lake and how deep it is. Convict Lake had a shelf and deep drop off so I opened my bail and let that sucker sink. I count like 3-4 seconds at that lake. But here not really. Just reel slow as heck. Maybe by the dam.
