I'd go with the helical head on the planer first. 90% of the time I will joint a board, then plane it parallel and then alternately plane both sides down to final thickness. Therefore the final surface of both sides is from the planer so that's where I would put the helical head.

Adorei assistir o video dublado em português do Brasil. Parabens.

Festive or not, Vic (not-so-subtley) sporting a Tragically Hip shirt is a win!

I agree with Amanda. If I had to choose a helical head for a jointer or planer, I would choose the jointer first, That's because I joint a face and square an edge (2 sides) on the jointer. Then flatten the other face on the planer. And finally trim the 4th edge on the table saw. I'm fortunate to have a Grizzly 8" jointer with helical head and a DeWalt 735 planer with a Shelix head. Both are amazing.

Your timing is perfect! I just ordered a sheet of brass yesterday for some escutcheons.

Another great stl. Keep it going guys. Inlaying brass is very trendy i feel. Bunch of guys doing it. Walnut and brass seems to go well imo.

Ben, until you get your MDF top on, let me know if you want me to send you my fully parameterized dog hole chamfered hole covers. I have 3D printed them for my 20mm and 3/4” tops. I just chamfer the dog holes and make the plugs with a clearance that allows me to just pop my fingernails into the chamfer and lift them out when I need to use them as dog holes. You’d only have to change the dog hole diameter parameter and go to town.
