I love the designs fin folk makes, and the flukes look so big and majestic! They aren’t too expensive, either. But the dealbreaker for me was the seams. When I saw your swimming video, I thought they had sent you a misprint because of how much the scales didn’t match up. But, if they improve their seams, maybe I’ll consider it again! :)

pretty sure the fixed the seams from a review on the golden giza it looked like it was improved i just order the golden giza and it looks awesome from the photos

I have also FinFolk Productions Andromeda fabric tail and the monofin I use is Mermaid Kat Hydra. It works perfectly, have good propulsion and fills the fluke better than smaller ones.

Because they scan a silicone tail to make the design, instead of drawing up a design, certain designs definitely fall completely flat. However, I recognize that they feel most comfortable in the silicone medium, and it is still beautiful.

This is such a great review. Thank you! I’ve been wanting an Andromeda ever since it came out, but never got the chance to grab one in my size. I’m going to bite the bullet and get myself a Finis Shooter because the Foil isn’t cutting it.

Kitty Yang The Finfolk fabric tails are best compatible with some of the Finis monofins. There’s a chart on the FinFolk website! :)

I have a finis foil and it's honestly a real struggle for a guppy like me. I'm seriously thinking about getting a shooter or a mahina. I have a Madison, which has the same fluke as the classic cleo and my monofin is just really "wobbly" in between the vinyl and it's really annoying. I also had to velcro the pieces together to make the foil fit, but it still doesn't work the way I'd like to.

First I love when you do review videos. You are so cool. Iv got a question, I want to get a fin folk fabric tail to upgrade from my fin fun tail but I'm not sure on the size. I where a small with my fin fun, would I also in a fin folk or should I go for a medium because neoprene isn't as stretchy?

Yo Faith, since your an owner of a few of these FinFolk tails, I have to ask, did you have to trim the vinyl casing at all? And if you did, how did you go about it? Is there a safe way to trim the vinyl safely without badly damaging it? Because I know that FinFolk said you can trim the casing if it rubs up against your ankles

The stitches showing and ripping, is because they use too wide of a serger and then the thread is exposed and weakens.

I love this tail i just hate that it holds so much water in the fluke. As for the seams and zipper my seam ripped from the zipper like 3 inches up the tail after only two swims and i had to repair it. But its so beautiful and majestic looking i love this tail
