It's trickier than it seems it should be. I mean, it's just arpeggios right? But some of the transitions can be tricky and also, just keeping the texture clean sounding is tough for me.

@Thisisclassicalguitar yes I haven't even made it to the texture yet 😆 I'm self-taught and also lost 1/4 in. off my ring finger when I was younger. So the arpeggios are challenging but that's why I picked up this piece.

Ok, enjoy. So with your ring finger do you just angle the right hand inward on that side a bit to compensate? Or does the regular hand position work fine?

@Thisisclassicalguitar yes, or i find myself moving my hand towards the floor so my ring finger has more of a curve. From the reconstruction of my fingertip, my nail is very weirdly shaped so that causes some difficulty as well. I still get a lot of tension in my hand and wrist though so I'm still experimenting with my hand position. This piece by Mertz has been really helpful in exposing some of those issues. Here is some of my playing if you're interested. First video is my Fingal's Höhle progress and arpeggios. Your right hand position looks really good actually. It's certainly working for you. Yes, special nail attention might be needed. Lots of pros use fake nails these days as well so that is an option. The spoon trick really helps my weird i finger: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX7PoGyYn7pni5o

Well, I have graded it at grade 7-8 so it's not easy! Late-intermediate for sure with opportunity for advanced performance tempos.
