Nice simple tool. One question: I've always been taught that if you start with a finger, you should end with it. Same to start with a nest and end with a nest. Have a solution for that

That's a box joint, not a finger joint. Finger joints are angled/tapered at the ends like fingers; box joints are 90° on the ends. Nice jig, though.
