Reel Canadian Fishing with Cory S deffinatley a beautiful fish. And making a good comeback in the finger lakes I fish. When smelt populations crashed about 15 years ago it didn't look good but in recent years they've started rebounding.. Im assuming you fish the tribs of lake Ontario? How arw the Atlantic's rebounding on your side of the pond?
@ReelCanadianFishing6 жыл бұрын
there are several stocking programs going on. There are some Atlantics although the ones I have seen are very small. hopefully in the upcoming years we will have a come back with numbers.

Certainly some of, if not the finest multispecies action on KZbin. They're banging trout & salmon here in Northwest Indiana too. Our browns aren't quite as big as yours. Wow, those were some pretty fish Ralph. I didn't know Salmon would get land locked. I thought they stayed out to sea until spawn time, then came into the rivers to spawn and die. Learn something new every day.
@RalphBarton-fishing6 жыл бұрын
The salmon referred to as a landlocked salmon is basically an Atlantic salmon that is stocked in the finger lakes here and in lake Ontario. Since they can't migrate to the ocean they call them landlocks . They don't get anywhere near as big as their cousins but still a blast to catch.. And as always thanks for wstching

We were using very small egg sacs or trout beads under a float. And a 4 pound flouro leader and as little weight as possible. .They were sitting like 30 yrds down stream from us. so we would drift down to them from up above. After we hooked one we had to sit on the bank and wait a bit otherwise they would be really spooky
