I appreciate what u did with the kids.. u helped her ease the trauma when her hair was chopped off by her schoolmate.. Pls don't bother abt negative comments..u are doin a great work.. creating awareness on what's right n wrong in taking care of ourselves.. HEALTH OVER LOOKS(Length)... ALWAYS!! Yesterday was my birthday 🥳 and I got a press and loose curls done for it 💁🏾♀️. I haven’t had my ends trimmed since March so I knew it was time lol. I’m totally one of those people who is afraid of trims like looking at how much hair is falling to the floor jussst to checkkk afraid 😂 (had a stylist who was ACTUALLY scissor happy cut so much of my hair off in a trim and it hasn’t been the same since 😩) I asked my stylist if I needed a trim while she blow dried and she was like YES YOU DOOOOO I was gonna ask you 😂 But I wasn’t even scared this time because I’ve been watching your videos all quarantine long so I can testify of the power of a good trim! Getting rid of raggedy ends is so satisfying, and like you said it’s about the health of the hair 💛💛 Thank you for making me less apprehensive of trims! My days of asking for baby dusting trims instead of a real one or paranoidly watching the floor are over 😊💇🏾♀️

I watch a lot of hair tutorials and see at least one comment calling the stylist scissor happy. There's a lot of disgruntled folks in these comments. You said it best, health over length. All long hair is not healthy, especially with see through ends. Also the assumption is made that a trim was all that was needed, not a cut....as if someone with long hair can't get a haircut if they want to. Smh, you're the professional and i'm paying for your knowledge and skills so why argue. Thanks for sharing and keep up the awesome work!

I had clients who cringed at the thought of trimming their split ends and once we were done styling they wondered why they didn't achieve the look they were going for... No one likes it. I color it with semi color for some gray and texlax it. I think I may have a bit of length, when I see how you work with hair. But I think that I texlax incorrectly or not long enough, because I still have a lot of shrinkage. So I keep my hair clean underneath wigs. But one day I hope you will do my hair for your videos. Michelle Clark your hair is probably resistant hon, might need a stronger formula but don’t over process, check it constantly even if you have to rinse half your head to get the desired pattern, sometimes we just gotta learn to do our own hair like me, I have passion twists in now which I did using the rubber band method, hoping to retain some length. It would be good to have someone assist you but if you don’t have anyone around just be assertive when it comes to any chemical in your hair

@zahramohamed64304 жыл бұрын
Hey before you start completely with the curly girl method i would say buy a sulphate shampoo,silk pillowcase and try to use oils before shampooing (if you have a dry scalp).If you are going to follow the cgm completely for the first month it will be fine but you may experience a ton loads of flakes after,something i wish could have known.I would say invest in deep conditioners and use a sulphate shampoo for time to time to clean your scalp.Its definitely going to emotionally difficult and it takes a lot of time and love but you won’t regret it!Watch you-tubers with similar textures to you because not everything will work for everyone,i suggest cutting off all the straights ends /damage.Good luck!

I love the entirety of your videos, but especially the part at the end where you play with and arrange the client's hair. That is so relaxing to watch for me, I get ASMR from it

I love your comparison of split ends to a rip in tights or stockings. I try explaining to people why it’s healthy to cut off split ends and it takes me forever to try and describe it and you’re is so simple yet concise

The "scissor happy" client is the one u roll eyes at everytime they call and eventually stop taking their appt. All money aint good money, learned that early on doing hair. Bye guh

Her hair looks so much better with the strayers( split ends) gone love 💘 your videos

ALOT of people are sensitive to length, I've heard many hair dressers be called than. Because people wanna hold on to crappy hair no matter how healthy it is

Keep doing you! People need to understand that damaged hair & split ends need to be trimmed off and if you don’t trim them, eventually you’ll need a full on haircut❗️❗️❗️It’s hair, it’ll grow back! I appreciate you for always delivering on the health of your client’s hair in addition to the slayed styles 😉

That’s a strange comment to make, scissor happy, I’ve watched a lot of your videos and I thought you very restrained with the cutting . That comment doesn’t make sense. If any kind of happy was about it’d be curl happy, that’s a good thing right? 😀

I watch you all the time and you've always impressed me by cutting just what is needed..

I had fairly long hair, but after bleaching (I know my bad) then dying it blue well yes it was pretty damaged so I gave it a good condition and trim, thinking it was ok went in my friends hot tub, well I kid you not I came out looking like a poodle, so I have now a pixie cut which I cut myself like you say health is better than length

I get so much satisfaction from watching you cut! I be salty when I have to get a trim sometimes it’ll be 1-2 inches because I only trim once a year which is my fault lol but I just hate putting a lot of heat in my hair so I only get a silk press 1-2x a year cause it be in a ponytail a week later the way these roots is set up 🤣🥴
