Doing this ukulele exercise will stretch your fingers and train your finger independence. In the video I start with my index finger on the 5th, middle on the 6th, ring on the 7th and pinky on the 8th fret and work my way towards the headstock one finger at a time. With the frets getting wider the stretches get more difficult. Start at a position that feels okay for you and practice slowly. It's an exercise to build up finger dexterity and strength not speed.
