Hi Neil, do you recommend this strum technique to players of blues and rock? Can it replace using a pick completely for these genres? I'm having a difficult time getting comfortable with a pick. Thanks.

Hey there, yes you can use this fingerstyle strumming for any genre, as long as you've decided to use fingerstyle rather than a pick. There are many blues and rock guitarists who use fingerstyle technique. As for replacing a pick, yes it can, but it's a matter of preference.
