The purpose of the Finger-Tip Drag Drill is to maintain good body position and balance during the recovery phase of the stroke. As you swim freestyle, drag the fingertips along the surface of the water during recovery. Be cognizant in assessing your body position and rotation throughout the drill.
Helpful Tidbits:
- Focus on a high elbow recovery.
- Lead with the elbow pulling above-water arm forward and into recovery.
- Keep your lower arm relaxed.
